These boots by NEWBELLA are fabulously different than your average boots. I rarely wear stilettos, but when I saw these I thought they were so unique that I wanted to try them. Despite the delicate pencil heel, they are actually well balanced, durable, and the slope of the foot feels natural. I can walk in them and feel steady, but with this kind of heel you do need to be careful that you avoid imperfections and holes on walking surfaces. I also wouldn't wear them in the grass, for obvious reasons. They are minimally padded, so I would recommend some inserts if you like a more supportive insole. The bottoms are plastic with basic slip resistant grooves. I prefer rubber soles because they introduce some bounce in your step and help with foot fatigue, so a more padded interior and rubber soles would be the only 2 upgrades I would suggest. The man-made fabric is slick and glossy, and looks like leather from afar. It has softness and flexibility, and retains its shape in their layered styling. The inside of the boots is comfortable, and I don't find that it rubs anywhere on my feet, even when I wear them barefoot. The back extends past the height of the ankle. The zippers work smoothly, and the boots are easy to put on and take off. Counting the snaps that run up the sides, there is an extra one included for appearances and design only. Don't try to use it, as it will mess up the way the material is supposed to fold over itself. I ordered the burgundy. The color is neither too plum nor too brick. It has some mellow chocolate undertones that lends itself to work beautifully with a neutral palette. I find NEWBELLA's sizing chart is accurate. I ordered my usual size that I do in their boots, and these fit me perfectly, just as expected. Also, the pointed toes may look deceivingly tight, but they are actually very roomy. I don't slip around, and my toes aren't scrunched in the toe bed. I happened to think while I was wearing them the other day that you could even wear these boots for a pirate costume. It would certainly elevate your look and render a lot of compliments. Just a random thought. These boots are stunning and unique. The design is impressive and attractive. I like that the buttons are overtop the zipper. My feet feel secure in these boots heels. They are sturdy and durable to wear and walk in. The color is a beautiful warm red tone. As far as style, these boots are on 10. The stiletto heel, pointed toe, pleating and silver rivets is giving all the things a girl needs to enhance her outfit with a touch of edge. As far as comfort, I give them a 6, not as comfortable as I'd like to be when going on for several hours. I wasn't able to wear them for more than 2.5 to 3 hours without wanting to get out of them. I ordered in a size 9 and they fit true to size, however, wear thin stocking socks because you don't have much room in the toe box of the shoe, not a lot of wiggle room. I really really wanted to like these but I just can’t. First of all, they run large. At least one size, maybe even 2 sizes. I imagine if they fit they’d be quite comfortable and based on the foamy inside, probably a little sweat inducing but hey sometimes that’s part of beauty. That said, these are not as slim as the photo suggests. They fit really…big. Like those fur leg warmers, only not fur. There is a zipper on the side but you have to unsnap the flappy flap to get to it. Don’t do that. Flappy flap does not go back in place. It’s like that hairstyle that your stylist gives you that you can’t duplicate. The color is gorgeous so if you make origami birds regularly and order 1-2 sizes smaller than usual, these can be a great pair of heels. Read more
