Cheap and not durable
It did work just fine for a short time period. I also handled it VERY carefully. I had place in, again very carefully in my jacket pocket where it did not jostle. I took it out and it worked. Put back into my coat pocket, very carefully. When I got home I heard a rattling. One of the batteries came out. And of with nnly one battery, it doesn't work. So very disappointed. I figure it was a bit fragile in itself, but it had no rough treatment. I wouldn't recommend this. Read more

Planned Obsolescence Defeated
3 Stars because the manufacturer deliberately sealed the cover screw hole openings with a hot glue-like substance in an attempt to prevent disassembly for changing the batteries. After hours of enjoyment sporting a bright cheerful red glowing nose, the hearing aide button batteries expired, but I prevailed and defeated the planned obsolescence using a lobster pick (because I’m a resourceful “Yankee” New Englander from the USA) to hack the glue security feature, picking out the congealed boogers in the cover screw holes, removing the two tiny screws with jewelers tools, removing the circuit board anchor screw, flipping over the circuit board and changing the two tiny button batteries. SUCCESS! The Chinese Industrial Complex was DEFEATED. GOD BLESS MY BRIGHT RED STROBE LIGHT REINDEER NOSE which I can now use for many more a MERRY CHRISTMAS to come! Read more
