Nothing

Certainly not a 100% cure all but they do reduce the glare of the headlights for me and make me feel somewhat more safe driving at night. Read more

Effective glare reduction for night highway driving, comfortable fit over prescription glasses

These are clearly designed as fit-over night driving glasses. In my case the fit over my prescription lenses was excellent. They sort of “click” into place and don’t feel awkward or bulky while driving. This may depend on the size and shape of your own glasses, but for me they were very comfortable. The build is what you’d expect for plastic glasses, but they feel reasonably sturdy. I like the wrap-around design with side lenses, which helps reduce glare coming in from the sides, and the rubberized ear tips make them comfortable to wear for longer stretches without slipping or pinching. In terms of function, they do what they’re supposed to do. When night driving with these, I felt like glare from lights was noticeably reduced, road signs and lane markings appeared crisper, and driving felt less tiring overall. There does appear to be some mild polarization, but the main benefit seems to be coming from the yellow tint. As with any yellow night driving lenses, there is a tradeoff: reducing glare also means slightly reducing overall light, so very dark objects can be a bit less visible. That’s not really a flaw of these glasses so much as a limitation of this type of lens in general. For me, they make the most sense for highway driving at night, where glare from headlights and reflective signs is the main issue and pedestrians aren’t a concern. I like that these come in a three-pack, making it easy to keep a spare with you in case of loss or breakage. They’re clearly intended to fit over glasses but could also be worn on their own if needed. Overall, they do what they claim, are comfortable to use, and are well suited for long nighttime drives. Well made, great fit, lightweight

The glasses themselves are great. They are well constructed, the lenses are large (but not obnoxiously so), the frames do not obstruct the view, & they are lightweight~ therefore comfortable to wear for a long drive. The temple arm has just the right tension to hold them on your head without being so tight they dig in/hurt. Helps with cutting the headlight glare (especially the newer blue tinted, harsh white lights) & softens the view of road lines. Anything white appears yellow (to be expected!) I have trouble driving at night and will often get headaches due to the contrast, especially on a long drive, so these definitely help. I did notice when driving for a period of time on back roads without street lights and with very little traffic, that they caused eye strain making things blurry after a bit. For this reason, I would only use them for better lit roads or when just being a passenger. I did find wearing them as a passenger very relaxing. Read more

Works better than I expected, but a couple of issues

I've seen this style of night time driving glasses being sold for a long time now and have always been skeptical. Recently I came across these ones from Yogo Vision at a really good price for two so I thought to finally give it a try. They arrived quickly, well packaged, and in good shape. The frame is cheap plastic, but that's fine because it makes them extremely light. I wear glasses so I needed them to fit over my regular frame. The seller's photo shows them to be 152mm wide, and my regular glasses are smaller than that in width. I had assumed they would fit over my glasses just fine, but they didn't. If you look carefully, the frame actually bows out from the very front, so the part by the lenses is less wide. Because of this, my glasses don't fit well behind this frame, and the frame sits on the tip of my nose rather than closer my face where it should be. I think the seller should update the measurements they have listed. The second problem is a minor one, but an annoying one. The arms are of a length that when you fold the frame, the tip of the arm actually hits the lens. You can see this in my final photo. What this means is that you get little smudges on the lens right where the arm hits when folded. It's annoying. That said, when I actually tried them out tonight I was kind of astonished. They really do make a difference. The yellow color seems to cut glare from other lights and reflections without making things darker. They actually function as promised. Keep in mind these are not sunglasses so don't expect polarization. Everything remains clear, including any LCD screens in your car. Don't expect miracles, but do expect improvement in night time driving visibility. I'm taking one star off for the 2 problems I mentioned, but I can still recommend these glasses. They're great for the very affordable price and worth checking if they work for you too. Read more

Not fancy, but they really do cut down uncomfortable glare during night driving

I admit I was a bit skeptical of these, but they really do help! They cut down the blinding glare of oncoming headlights, while not diminishing the ability to see the streetscape and dimly lit parts of the scene, which are also important to see when driving. The glasses are lightweight plastic and don't feel snugly fitting, so I wouldn't want to wear them out and about, but they do fit over my regular glasses and stay put just fine for driving. At two pairs for $12, this is an incredible bargain - solving this discomfort from bright headlights that I've struggled with for decades! My biggest complaint is that I didn't find them years ago.
