The dusk-to-dawn sensor is incredibly responsive—they turn on the moment the room gets dark and off as soon as the sun comes up. These are larger than I would like, but very light weight, and put out very low amount of light. These might not be good to see details, but are perfect for the grand kiddos when they spend the night. They are only 0.6 watt, so will save money on the electric bill. The yellow color is perfect for keeping the light low and not waking you up. They provide more of a glow and allow you to see shapes to avoid stubbing your toes. There is a sensor that turns them on when there is no light. They do a good job of turning the light on only when it is dark, not just when you turn the light out in the bathroom. There are no buttons or switches, just plug in in, and you are good to go! I am marking the product down one star, because one of the two I received the sensor does not work, the light stays on all the time, dark or light. I always avoid turning on the light whenever I wake up in the middle of the night, but with these little lights, I don't have to worry about that anymore. They are smart and dim according to ambient light, so you don't have to worry about plugging and unplugging them, you won't even notice them after a while. I have one in the bathroom and one in the bedroom, so I wouldn't get a sudden shock from the main LED light whenever I use the bathroom in the middle of the night. I like that they don't occupy the entire wall plug and leave space for another plug to be inserted. The light temperature is perfect, and it dims very smartly. I'm really happy with it. It’s okay, but I was disappointed given the price. The overall build feels similar to the inexpensive night lights you might find at a dollar store—lightweight, hollow, and made entirely of plastic. I originally thought the light intensity would gradually change to mimic a natural sunrise, similar to sunrise alarm clocks. That feature would have justified the cost for me. Unfortunately, it doesn’t have that functionality. Based on the quality and features, I personally wouldn’t have paid more than $5 for the set. These little night lights are honestly really nice, especially if you have kids. My daughter loves the design and the light they give off is soft and warm, not harsh or blinding in the middle of the night. It’s just enough to see where you’re walking without lighting up the whole room. I like that they plug straight into the wall and turn on automatically when it gets dark. No switches to mess with and no remembering to turn them on or off. They’re great for hallways, bathrooms, or a kid’s bedroom so they don’t feel totally in the dark. This pair of nightlights automatically turn on when it gets dark enough and then turn back off when it becomes light enough. They become brighter the darker the environment is and lighten as it gets brighter (similar to how some streetlights operate). These little nightlights are super cute, my daughter loves them. They are the simple plug in type, with a light to dark sensor, responsivenss of which is instant, kicking on as the lights go off, making walking down halls easy without needing bright overhead lights. That said it should be noted that these night lights are not quite as bright as they look in the pictures, The light is more subtle and subdued but personally I'm okay with that, since it goes with the chill vibe at the design and feele calm.
