I’ve used this so many times now for myself and for helping other. The instructions are simple and straightforward and it's very simple to operate, even for an older woman like me. A couple of guys even mentioned how surprised and impressed they were that such a small device could be so effective! It charges with a USB-C cord (included), just like your phone, and the battery lasts a long time even in cold weathe r. Okay, to be clear, I haven't had the opportunity yet to try this out for the purposes of jump-starting a vehicle. However, it actually came in very handy last weekend when I needed to inflate a small air mattress. The only pump that I had was the type that plugs into a car's cigarette lighter, so I thought I was out of luck, until I remembered that I had this thing. This awesomely comes with a cigarette lighter adapter thingy. So I was able to plug that into the power pack, then plug the air mattress pump into that adapter, and bam, turned it on and it fired right up, and I was sleeping cozy all night. I was pretty skeptical at first, because this thing is very lightweight, but it took a handful of hours to fully charge when I got it, so I feel like that is (hopefully) a good indicator that it'll have enough power juice to jump-start a car. I'll try to update this review after I've tried it out on that (I should have the opportunity in the next few weeks). So far I really like it, though -- it's lightweight, slim, and portable, and the adapters and accessories are very helpful! Read more
Unfortunately (fortunately?) I have not run into any battery issues recently to have to use the jump starter function on this. I will update this portion if the need ever arises. With that said, the battery is big for a power bank but still small enough to keep in the glove compartment or trunk in case of emergencies. The flash light is bright. The strobe function makes it handy for other people to see you, you are on the road in the dark. If just using it as a power bank, it has 2 USB Type A ports and one Type C that should be able to provide at least 1.5 full charges for most modern smart phones. Definitely something good to keep around in case of emergencies, even if that emergency is just your phone running out of battery. Read more
I bought this battery pack for my second car for emergencies. Modern cars really should not be used to jump start each other, so I consider these chargers to be critical. This charger is so much more compact and easier to store than my other charger, and it does start a battery. It is quite small, so I make sure to charge it between uses, but it has started cars for me a couple of times without problem. Because of the small capacity of the battery and the simple controls it is important to hook the battery up in the correct sequence to get it to start working, but then you are good to go. Read more
I am not at all impressed. its lightweight because its packing a whopping 37WH (a laughably low amount). It says the 12volt DC output should handle 8 Amps. do the math and that should be 96watts. I assume this 12 volt DC circuit includes the cigarette lighter adapter (actually really nice to include here). Testing it I got it to trip its safety relay around what I tested previously as a 90 watt appliance. It runs a small PC fan fine on this circuit. This is probably a 3 watt fan. My old jumper box was a heavy lead acid battery box with a 12 watt 17 Amp Hours lead acid (it died. Lead acid chemistry especially the cheap kind dont last). Thats 200 Watts Hours. With phone chargers now clocking 100 Watt and 200 watt PLUS real numbers. 37 watt hours is pretty laughable. The claim it kicks out 2000Amps I will believe. Since its possible with certain lithium battery chemistry to dump that 37 watts real fast at 2000 cranking amps for a jump start. I believe this will get you a jump start. But at 37 watts total battery capacity its a shrimp. My 100 watt phone charger keeps laughing at this guy. Im going to have it around for Just for the sake of a jump start. small battery means I could care less about any "features" and would be willing to trade them for maybe at least TWICE the watt hours? Which sounds feasible in the lithium jump starter game. Its fully earned the 2 stars it gets to jump a car in an emergency. I have some extra hate and disdain for this thing. The fact I'd be potentially charging this thing per jump start off a phone charger out in a field just really grinds my gears. Read more
Haven’t had to use it in an emergency yet, but turned it on and it appears to work. Overall material quality seems cheap - the charger itself is hard plastic with a thin material carrying case. Will update if I get to use it in the near future to jump a car - if it works that’s all that matters! The price would certainly make it worth it Read more
