Great little strip for under the hood of my 2000 tahoe. The OE tilt light fixture stopped working and barely did its intended job anyway. I installed this strip in a perfect little area by the hood latch, ran the wire under the hood pad and then mounted the supplied switch to the old light housing. Tapped into the OE wires and BAM! Easy installation. Lights are bright enough. Although I would recommend purchasing 2. I put them on my 87 GMC truck. One is okay, but with 2 it Lights up the engine bay suitable for night time work. 3m adhesive tape holding tight. Read more

Super easy install, had to use some adhesive because the glue stops aren’t as strong as I like. Make sure the surface is clean. You will have no issue working at night under the hood, these light it up like day time. Read more

I used this for a 1965 Plymouth barracuda. I wanted to make the engine area more vivid if attending a night car show or working on the car. I ended up clipping one of the connections and wired them into one so that less wires were visible. So far works great it's sticking to the inside of the hood you do have to clean it and prep it very easy to install I looked at some videos works fantastic very good light. The brightness is plenty. I bought these because I bought a new to me 2020 Ford expedition not realizing the body was aluminum so when I went to check oil or do anything at night, my magnetic work lights were useless. So this now gives me more than enough light. Two issue I encountered, one the length of the light cable is just barely too short for me to clean up the wiring to move freely with the hinges while being out of the way. I wish there was a extension to buy. A one foot long extension would probably work fine for my application. Two, the positive wire didn't have a ring terminal on the wire. Unfortunately for me I was fresh out of an appropriate replacement so I had to order a new set to fix that issue. Overall, install is pretty straightforward. But they do need to add more wireing length to the lights and even my battery power wires are almost too short as I'm not using the plunger switch as I wasn't comfortable drilling in a hole for it.
