Really Good Product. Welfare Certified, deliciously marbled, juicy and tender but it all comes at a $$$ cost. Come On Perdue- these are good but they aren't Iberico. (Perdue owns Niman) Two chops 13 oz usually symmetricially cut (two evenly sized chops). Fair at $4-5/pack but ridiculous at $6.99/pack that's over $8.50/lb. First of all, why can’t Amazon get a supplier who sells larger packages of pork chops as most super markets do?? And that applies to chicken breasts as well. My experience has been that larger quantity packages generally reduce the cost per pound. For myself, one 6 or 8 oz. boneless chop is plenty for me. But still, I like to keep a few extra in the freezer. I also use the chops from a large package for making my version of bar-b-q pulled pork. I never ordered this particular brand before so was very disappointed as soon as I opened the package. The package stated 2 chops, 13 oz, 2 servings. I was expecting two chops of roughly equal size at 6 1/2 (+/-) oz. per chop. What was in the package was one very nice center cut chop with only a very small amount of marbling and a thin rim of edge fat which weighed 8 oz. The second chop was completely opposite with WAY too much marbling, thinner-cut and weighing in at just 4 oz. - a FULL ounce LESS than the package states. And yes, I have an extremely accurate kitchen scale. I haven’t cooked the chop yet but I don’t anticipate a problem as I haven’t had a bad tasting or tough pork chop in over 50 years of cooking. Bottom line - I won’t take a chance buying this brand again. Read more
