It can be hard to find good shorts for women, they're either too short or too long and usually don't have adequate pocket space. I saw these and decided to try them out. I like the length, they're not too long or too short and they keep my thighs from rubbing against each other. The pockets are great too, I can fit my whole phone, keys, and wallet in them and zip them up without worrying about losing my stuff. The pockets do look a little bulky with stuff in them but it's not a big deal to me. They're soft and comfortable to wear. The fabric is a little thick, maybe not ideal for really hot weather but nice for cooler days. I know they're men's shorts but I like that they don't look too masculine. Read more

These seem to be well made of reasonably thick, soft cotton. The shorter inseam allows short people with short legs who are not male models to wear them comfortably without the legs dragging down over your knees. But the pockets are not optimum. They are not very deep, so things fall out of them. Regularly. So far each day I've worn them I've dropped both my cell phone and my wallet (at different times.) "But they have zippers" you might say. And they do. They are those coily nylon things that don't zip smoothly. It requires either a lot of fiddly patience or two hands to zip and unzip them. And I'm actually a very well coordinated person who has worked with my hands all of my life. The difficulty is not helped by the little pockets which are just barely big enough to squeeze in a small cell phone. The difficulty discourages using the zipper, which is why things keep falling out. So why do I say "limited usefulness"? I think the zipper is great for preventing pickpockets. I think even a master would have difficulty with these. So if you are a tourist in a busy mecca or if you are attending a crowded outdoor event, these would be great. But for day to day use they are a hassle. Not awful, but a hassle. Read more
