I really liked this from the moment I unwrapped it. It is made out of the plastic that looks like wood - it looks like the plastic Adirondack chairs or rocking chairs made from the "plastic wood" - it gives more character than just a smooth surface and it won't chip or get damaged easily. It came with clear bumpers to apply on bottom, so it doesn't shift or move. Fits the washer/dryer perfect and adds a nice tidy look to laundry room. It will be a good place to fold clothes too. I bought this to organize my laundry room. The shelf is very high quality plastic, but appears like wood. The “grain” looks really natural, and it does not feel cheap. I really like that it has borders along the ba k and the sides to prevent things from falling on the side or behind the washer/dryer. I really feel like it elevates the look of the area at an affordable price. It comes as one really large piece, so it is somewhat cumbersome trying to get it out of the box, but I was able to do it all by myself. It is wrapped very well in 2 different kinds of bubble wrap to keep it protected. There were no scratches or chips, or other damage to my shelf. This washer/dryer HDPE top is excellent ! ! The top is made very, very well and is very “sturdy”. All of the corners are “rounded” so there are no sharp points and all the surfaces are smooth. It came completely assembled and all I had to do was place it on top of the washer and dryer (make sure your washer and dryer are both leveled and the same height before putting the top on). There were also 4 non-slip clear silicone self stick pads included to place in the 4 corners of the top (where it sits on top of the washer/dryer). The listed size of the top is accurate and it was packaged perfectly to prevent any damage in shipping. When I first looked for this kind of item I was surprised at the “high”price for a “top” for the washer and dryer but when you see and fell the top you can understand the price because of how well it is made. Made of the same composite stuff as high quality patio furniture. Im glad I purchased it built! Worth it! My w/d aren't the perfect exact same height ( could fix but that will involve getting the feet just right lol!) but this has just enough give to sit sturdy on both.
