Item was very easy to assemble, I decided to give it a semi glossy clear coat stain to protect it from water damage since it will be permanently in my shower. It looks beautiful after the wood stain dried. Item was also very easy to assemble and is just the size I was looking for. MUCH nicer than those cheap iron wire ones most people buy from most retailers. This is so fantastic. I was really impressed by the dovetailing where the shelves are added. It really feels like it will hold together well. It’s also the perfect size for all my shower accoutrements. And when I was putting it together it smelled so lovely? You can tell it’s nice teak. The wood is beautiful! However, it is too heavy. It slips off my 6” shower extender and has no rubber piece to keep it from sliding when I put weight on it from my shampoo, conditioner etc. The wood is soft and when wet easily chipped when something falls on it. The unit looks sturdy but the wood gets too soft from the hot water and steam. I ended up taking it down. The width did not fit my jumbo size bottles and my bars of soap melted into the wood making it difficult to pick up without sticking to the wood. I think that it is just not cut out for an older shower/tub enclosure like I have and it was more of a hassle than anything. Maybe in a home gym where there is a separate shower that generally doesn't get used constantly or just for looks but this did not fair well it my bathroom. Read more
