I bought this after buying and LOVING the single egg cooker. I have some hungry guys to feed in the morning, but they both like different things on their eggs. This will cook 3 eggs and toppings like (pre-cooked) bacon, ham, veggies, (I cook batches and put in plastic bags in fridge for the week), for 1:30, then add cheese on both sides, do another 30 seconds, then close it and cook for another 30 seconds or so until desired firmness. They omelet will fluff up nicely. If you use 2 eggs, the cook time is shorter, but my guys like big omelets. This saves me from dirtying lots of pans. It works better than my countertop plug in omelet machine that cost me a LOT more than this little tool. It washes up easy, just a quick wipe, no matter if the cheese leaks all over the place. I've never put in dishwasher because I tend to baby the dishes that I love most. A word of caution: Don't just grab the opening handle and open it slowly. A lot of steam will come out from the opening. I just a thin oven glove to open it quickly, then give it a few seconds to let the steam dissipate. After that, it's easy to tip it up and slide the omelet right onto the plate. I've had it for a few months and we've used it plenty. Very pleased. Would be happy to buy again. Read more

Was hesitant with fooling with eggs and a microwave. I now use this simple little device almost daily. Big secret is to fine tune your times to your specific microwave! I find the following works for me every time: I use 3 large eggs and a couple tablespoons of milk, add pepper to taste. Stir it up well and pour half into each side. Carefully move the open device to the microwave rotating table and set time for between 1 min 15 to 45 seconds. Look for the omelette to start to be firm with liquid left in the middle. Pull it out and add any fillings, ham, onions, peppers, cheese, etc.. Put it back in for another 1 minute plus 10 - 20 seconds. Pull it out and immediately close the mold. I gently tap it on the counter, flip it over and tap it again and let it sit for 30 seconds. If the omelette didn’t stick together, reduce your second time by 5-10 sec.. If the omelette was a bit runny increase your time by 10-15 sec.. once you nail the times down for your microwave, you will have perfect omelettes in 3-4 min with very little cleanup. I recommend a tad bit of PAM spray or butter if you are going to use egg beaters rather than whole eggs. Read more

Worked pretty good. No sticking. Not as fluffy as an omelette made in a pan, or as pretty as the picture, but a heck of a lot easier, no messy pan or stovetop. Good if you want an omelette and don't want to deal with extra fat or cooking on a stove. Easy. Healthy. Tasty. Adjusted the recommended cooking times (less time needed) but fairly foolproof. I absolutely love this! So easy. No mess. Omelette may not look like a restaurant omelette, but taste delicious. Just right for one person. I like egg white omelettes. I use three egg whites. Add two tablespoons water. Whip up good. Split between each side. Nuke for around one minute. Add fillings you want to each side. Nuke for around minute and a half. Close and done. When you open, you have an omelette. Slide onto your plate. I use every morning. Fill with all kinds of veggies. Maybe chopped ham. Top with grated cheese. Whatever you want. Cooks everything just right. A great buy for me! Read more

This omelet maker is really well made. It's sturdy and works really well. Just be cautious when you take it out of the microwave and open it as it'll be hot and steamy, but makes great omelets and is made sturdy like most of the Nordic Ware products I've purchased in the past. Would definitely recommend and would purchase again if I ever need another one. Read more

For me, this is really a "2", but I'll give it a "3" mainly because it's a bit easier than using a pan on the stove and the taste is OK, but it is not remotely close to a good stove-top omelet. All those reviewers who say it's "perfect" cannot have ever had a really good omelet. These omelets are better than the rubbery eggs I tried many years ago when microwaves first came out, but most of that is likely due to better microwave technology, not this device. As with all microwaves, the cooking is uneven. It gets done around the edges while still liquid in the middle. The instructions say to stir halfway through. I think stirring 3-4 times is required for a really good result. If I'm going to have to do all that, it's easier on the stove. Also, as with all microwaves, timing is critical. You really need to watch it, at least the first few times. Again, if I have to stand there, I might as well use the stove and get a really good omelet and be able to watch it and add ingredients without having to stop and start or open and close the door. The unit seems fairly well made, but poorly finished. As with the egg cooker, there are ragged edges and burrs that snag dish cloths and could scratch or even cut. I did not use any butter or spray, because the instructions didn't call for it. It wasn't a horrible mess, but definitely did not clean easily. It required hot soapy water and some scrubbing. The color makes it hard to see stuck on egg. I'll try it again with butter or non-stick spray. If the results are noticeably better, I'll post an update. Either way, I deduct something either for sticking or for incomplete instructions. Read more

Simple directions, does not require any grease or oil as the material is slick. In about 3 minutes I can prepare and cook in my microwave a nice cheese omelette. I use 4 eggs, whisk together with a little ground pepper, pour half of the egg mixture into each half of the “pan”, place in microwave in open position, cook for 1 minute. Stir up a bit with fork, sprinkle each half with some shredded cheese, cook in microwave 1 more minute. Remove pan, close one half over onto the other, open and slide omelette out onto plate. Quick, easy, no fuss, comes out perfectly every time. I wash pan in top rack of dishwasher, but washing by hand is also very simple to do. Could add other “fillings” to the omelette if desired as long as “fillings” are pre-cooked. Read more
