I just purchased my 2nd one of these microwaves after having my original one for 12 years. That first one cost me about $60 and finally started to have some problems with the operating control. At any rate that machine only cost me $5/year to own! This machine is all I need based on how I use a microwave and as a single person. What I like is the simplicity of setting using a minimum of buttons and a control dial. The retro style is not why I bought this microwave. Read more
Love the look, but this is not a novelty toy. Effective & easy to use. Ashamed to admit that I've struggled in the past to learn the controls of microwave ovens. This one has good instructions & was easy to get up & running. Love the power & full-sized rotating plate. The beeps are pretty loud, but cooking no noisier than any other microwave I've owned. I had an older version of this microwave. It lasted me over 8 years. For context, in that same time period, I had 5 countertop convection/toaster style ovens. I also had to replace the refridgerator I bought almost the same day I bought the microwave. And 2 TVs, 2 DVD players, 3 computers, 4 phones, 3 cordless vacuums, and a tablet that I never replaced when it broke 3 days after the warranty ran out. Thank goodness for extended warranties, eh? Over the last couple months, I started noticiing the microwave not heating completely and it was making a kind of stop and start noise. I heated a frozen dinner and it was still frozen in the middle after 5 minutes so I decided I'd get a new one before it completely broke down. I looked and looked and was still so drawn to the way the Notstalgia looked. The new handle is even cuter than the old one. I was familiar with the way it worked so no new learning curve. It was reasonably priced (I mean you can get a square box with no style for less but, come on, this one is so cute). And, geez, I mean the last one lasted over 8 years! It was really a no brainer. And to really convince me, this one finally has a 12 hr clock. The old one was 24 hr that you couldn't change it. Drove me nuts. I really hope they haven't 'improved' anything and this one lasts as long. To be on the safe side, I did buy the extended warranty. Read more
Purchased this particular product (in black) over a month ago for it's looks, size and ease of use and it has met ALL of our expectations! It looks fabulous in our newly renovated kitchen, fit's perfectly on our countertop and is soooo easy to use! I especially love the quick and easy 10 second option. (Our previous microwave didn't allow you to choose an option of anything less than 30 seconds.) Keep in mind, however, that we use this microwave primarily to heat up leftovers/small side dishes and occasionally to thaw various foods, so not attempting to microwave anything large in size. A 1.5 quart casserole dish fits perfectly in this microwave, as shown in attached photo. Read more

So cute. Low power, but I use the microwave to reheat coffee, make popcorn, and cook frozen meals. This is much smaller than the huge white one I gave away. Yes, it is lower power and it takes longer, but I knew that and I needed the space. Read more

Looks great. The buzzer is a little annoying. It keeps beeping 3 times even if you open the door as soon as the first beep starts. I do miss the timer that my old microwave had. I ended up purchasing a separate small timer. Read more
