I unfortunately am an idiot and ordered this not knowing that you have to install it a specific way and I live in an apartment and can't actually install it the way it needs to be properly installed. If this product was a little clearer or more upfront about its installation method, it would be five stars. The shelf itself has amazing build quality. It's the perfect size and shape to store the two or three extra products that don't quite fit anywhere else, and I was genuinely excited to receive it. Unfortunately, that's where my excitement ended. I'll admit I may have misinterpreted or not looked deeply enough into the installation, but I certainly was not expecting it to require a circular saw with a diamond drill bit to cut into the grout of my shower. In retrospect, reading the description, I suppose there are hints that this is a "permanent" shelf, or as other reviewers mentioned, not an appropriate shelf for renters since you have to physically alter your shower to put it in. My biggest issue is that I do not have a tiled shower, so I have no way of installing it, which makes it useless to me. I feel that this part of the process should be very clearly stated in the product description or pictures. I've seen other products do this, showing which types of showers the product works for and which it doesn't. Had I seen that, I would have never ordered it. That being said, it is made of solid, sturdy metal. The draining designs are quite attractive, and I'm sure that for those who can use it and are willing to drill or cut into their grout, it will be a great shelf. Even if I did have tile and grout, I would still be a little nervous regarding the strength of the adhesion, as simply sliding it into the grout and regrouting it does make me nervous, but I can't speak to the actual effectiveness of that since it was not usable for me. This is a nice looking and well made shower shelf. I didn't think it was going to be big enough when I opened the box, but it surprised me!
