My cats eye was red, irritated, and weeping gunk. I am definitely no veterinarian, but I have worked in a pharmacy selling pet eye drops. I can confirm the ingredients in this solution are very basic and are also similar to what we sell to pet owners at a much higher price. I used this product and it cleared my cats eye issue completely within a week. Im not sure what was wrong with my cats eye, I however assume it was irritated from the new litter I switched to. These drops did the job successfully and are easy to use. To confirm these are not necessarily a solution to all eye issues. Its definitely a good option to try before you take your pet to the vet (to avoid a possibly unnecessary bill). Read more

This eye rinse is the second product like this I have tried for my cat General Patton, and I am sold on it! I actually have 2 orange tabbies who are prone to runny eyes, and a third Maine Coon mix cat who only occasionally needs his eyes cleaned. General Patton is getting on and retired from heavy duty mousing, but although he is "generally" (excuse the pun) in still-robust health, last month, his right eye looked disturbingly cloudy and teary. I bought the Cliny brand to start with, which worked very well clearing up Patton's eyes very quickly--within 2 days. However, it came in a bottle with a dropper which is a pain to dispense the stuff using the dropper when I had to set the open bottle in a safe spot while applying it, (some spilled the first time), since I needed both hands to apply it to my cat's eyes. Plus, the dropper was superfluous anyway, since I apply the rinse with a cotton ball well-saturated with it. I bought this Nutri Vet eye rinse the second time, after the Cliny brand ran out. I searched for a similar product in a different type of bottle, and this fit the bill perfectly. The formulation is very close, but it cost le$$, I got a bit more product, and it comes in a hassle-free, easy-peasy to dispense squeeze bottle. I have continued to use it every few days, whenever General Patton or Peanut, the other tabby prone to runny eyes, has an accumulation of dried discharge in the corners of their eyes. I also use it on Sam, the third cat's eyes, but he needs it way less often. It has reduced the need to rinse GP and Peanut's eyes every day, to every 2-3 days, and it is no hassle to do so at all, because the kitties don't fight me on it at all. I think it actually feels soothing to them, this is how little they mind having it applied. The amount of discharge I remove when I do it is also noticeably less, and their eyes look luminous and clear, and quite healthy, so I think there is something in the product that reduces their reaction to whatever environmental allergens or irritants caused them to produce so much eye discharge in the first place. 5 stars, and I endorse this product fully. Update: A couple of months later, and surprise--this NutriVet eye rinse is even more da bomb than I originally thought! It occurred to me that I had not cleaned either General Patton or Peanut's eyes with Nutri Vet rinse for several days, and they were still clear. This change was not as long lasting as I had thought in the long run, no doubt the environmental allergens have something to do with that, but no matter--by now, all 3 cats are total pros at having their eyes rinsed, meaning they no longer even resist my doing it. And their eyes all look wonderfully healthy and clear, so I am *still* sold on this product. Read more

The furless and the semi furless are known for eye irritation due to no guard fur protecting the eyes. This is my go to for my Devon Rex. Fights eye allergies, decrease irritation, and if used before we go outside in the pollen season, this product decrease the likelihood of eye irritation. I also observed a decrease in tear stains and watering eyes with scheduled use. Read more

I can’t believe how well this stuff works. We had a feral litter of 4 kittens hanging around and they all got gnarly eye infections. One we were concerned would lose their eyes it was so bad. We started applying these drops to their eyes twice a day and the infections cleared up with just a few days. Now they are healthy kittens and you wouldn’t even know they had such bad eye infections. I also used this on a stray we decided to take in. She’s had some discharge and after she was spayed one eye was really looking gross. I used this once on it and now she’s good as new. Definitely give this a shot before going to the vet! Read more

Ehhhh my cat had a little bit of an eye infection and I thought this would help clear it out a little bit. It didn’t do anything I don’t think except for maybe what the eye so I could wipe out any extra drainage or anything like that. It seems to be easy to use and safe on animals. The size is fairly small, but I wasn’t expecting a large bottle of something to come. So just keep these things in mind whenever you get this. It’s not a home remedy to cure cats eye infection, it might help flush them, but that’s about it. Read more

My cat’s right eye always “waters.” Vet said there’s nothing wrong. But it got red and he couldn’t open his right eye. These drops made his eye much better within 24 hours. First I wipe his eyes with eye wipes for cats. And then put 2-3 drops in each eye. It’s pretty gentle because my cat doesn’t fight me and allows me to do it. I think he knows that it helps him and it soothes his eyes. His eye is much better. Much clearer. He can open his eye again. Read more
