I really like this item, using it nearly every day. It's Air-Fryer function is something new to me and much appreciated, for such as frozen potato puffs and battered sea food. I have roasted a large squash, beef roast, pork loin, turkey breast, and a whole chicken, all with good results. I particularly like how the unit broils steaks and chops, while containing all the splatter. For this, pre-heating helps. The extender ring makes the unit much more versatile. I like to use aluminum pans and pie plates for drip pans and to adjust height of the grill rack. The good visibility of the process is of primary importance to me. Timer and temperature control seem very accurate. Unit is reasonably easy to keep clean, if done regularly. Concerns: Unit is too tall to slide under the upper cabinets of my kitchen counters. For under-cupboard storage, turn lid/power unit upside down om base. Heater could be hotter to advantage. This is my second Model PKCOV45. The heat unit on the first quit after about 6 months. Company made good on the 15 month warranty, refunding purchase price [ a replacement was not available at the time ]. The unit I am using now is doing fine. Read more

After 6 months, the turn-on switch has stopped working and it has no way of heating up now. After contacting the manufacturer I was told that I would have to pay for shipping to send it to them for a repair, which takes 4-6 weeks. I opted to take my losses and threw it in the trash. I spent enough on this product initially without paying another $30 to ship it back for a repair, and wait up to 6 weeks for it to be sent back to me. Save yourself the headache. Read more

The media could not be loaded. I like this glass cooker a lot. I've used it so many times from simply heating food when I don't want to use microwave for heating food to cooking rotisserie chicken or aurfrying my fish sticks or chicken patties. It's an all around cooker. Very versatile. The size is high enough not to overcrowd the chicken when doing rotisserie. It cooks on both sides. It has a easy to understand switch know for setting the time and temperature a kid can do it. You're sure enough not to get your chicken burned when you know your only half way done. Very easy to use, ir alerts you when your food is done.Food taste good not burned. Functions are easy to figure out. No noise when cooking., just the timer. Worth the buy. Read more

Works great, does a nice rolled crispy pork belly. The metal expansion ring helps make sure the air has adequate space to flow around. I will say tho that the temperature knob fell off on my mine when I unboxed it, I’m not sure how it was even supposed to be attached because it doesn’t look like there was a screw holding it in place nor did I notice if the plastic of the knob itself just sheared off from where it is supposed to be attached. Still works tho. Read more

It’s nice and wide and high for cooking a chicken. I use parchment paper to keep the bottom clean. Easy to read and run! Read more

Love this air fryer! My previous one was bulky looking, and really pretty small for a meal for three people. This one can hold a lot of food, and you can see the progress without opening the drawer. My only complaint is that you have to remove the lid completely to take out the food. It would be great if there was something attached to place the lid on instead of being required to have a heat proof surface on which to place it. I am limited as to counter space so it can be a little awkward to handle. In spite of that, it heats up quickly, heats well, and is easy to clean (even though the glass container is heavy). Read more

I need to edit my initial review. I thought this air fryer was broken upon arrival, as it wouldn't turn on. What I didn't realize, and the instruction booklet NEVER mentions, is that after you seat the lid onto the glass bowl, the unit won't turn on unless you push the handle down into a locked position! I accidentally realized this as I was trying to box the unit to return it. I couldn't get the handle to fully fold down, and realized there was a button there. I tried the unit again with the handle in the "down" position, and voila! The unit worked! Why in the world doesn't the instruction manual even mention this? I read every single word in the manual, and it isn't there. Then, when wiping the heating unit, I found a tiny sticker on it. It appears to be giving the instruction to lower the handle. The sticker just looked like a logo on the unit, and I didn't even see it at first. This must have been their way to mitigate the oversight of leaving it out of the manual. So, anyone who thinks their air fryer doesn't work, make sure the handle is seated in the "down" position! However, Nutrichef says there will be a bad smell when using the unit for the first time. As I was using it for the first time to burn off the smell, the glass bowl cracked. Also, if you are looking forward to making french fries in the Nutrichef, you may be disappointed. You will need a metal rack that has grates much closer together than the ones that come with it. The fries fall right through. The fries that remained on the bottom of the glass were not done. Original review: I read many reviews of the Nutrichef in which people had trouble with the item not working, or breaking. Others absolutely loved the product. But I should’ve listened! This was dead on arrival. We kept making sure the cord was seated in the unit properly, and plugged in well, but it made no difference. I’m sure this was a return that got recycled to me. The glass has a little bit of food stuck on it up near the rim, so it is used. This may actually be an Amazon issue rather than a Nutrichef issue— I think they sent me a defective returned item. Also, though the glass is nontoxic, I can smell chemicals coming from the motor area. If you are sensitive to chemical smells, this might not be the unit for you. (EDIT--The smell really does diminish after the first use.) Read more
