This is essentially an aluminum pot with an encased steel bottom. The inside surface is basically a high temperature ceramic enamel. Great nonstick interior, no signs of damage after 4 months of gentle use at medium low heat. It only needs low heat, with a little patience, it simmers and boils very well. Read more

Since switching to an induction cooktop, I had to retire my beloved vintage cast-iron skillets, fearing that their rough bottoms would scratch the surface. This beautiful set has been the perfect replacement, and in many ways, it's been an improvement. The first thing I noticed was how much lighter they are than my old cookware—so much easier to handle. When used on my induction cooktop, the metal handles stay cool. From French toast to chicken, they cook and brown everything beautifully. (And the metal handles allow me to use it in my oven, too.) And they are truly non-stick; clean-up is a quick wipe and swipe with a soapy brush. (Running them through the dishwasher is unnecessary; besides, I want to keep the beautiful outside copper finish pristine.) I use only wooden utensils to avoid scratching the non-stick finish. The manual warns against cleaning with abrasives like baking soda, but I’ve never found it necessary to use anything but a dishcloth or soft brush. (I am trusting Nuwave, a company based in Illinois, that this cookware has been thoroughly tested and shown to be free of PFAs, lead, cadmium, and other harmful elements, as claimed.) This is the most gorgeous set of pans and pots I have ever owned. It looks so beautiful in my kitchen. I like how the coating of the pans and pots that is in copper color while it gives out the shiny tone. The pots and pans are quite heavy weight which indicates that is made with good quality material. The heavier the cookware is, the more even the heat get distributed to the cooking, also it will hold up the temperature well. The inner coating is smooth and nonstick that I literally fry an egg without oil in the small pan and it didn't stick at all. The cleaning gets very easy too since it is truly nonstick. The set come with 5 pots and 2 pans which all come with glass lids which I love. It's so much easier to cook your food while you can see through the glass lid. I feel comfortable and safe to use this cookware set for my family since it is PFAS free. I have also cook a beef short rib in the biggest pot in the oven. It come out very good. The media could not be loaded. This is a very nice complete set of seven different pans. I love the way the copper color looks in our kitchen with our dark green colored granite and honey pine wood. As someone who tries to eat healthy most of the time, and someone who personally knows of too many young healthy active people getting colon cancer these days, I've definitely started to think more about my cooking surfaces and a desire to make sure that I'm not cooking in anything toxic. Nuwave Duralon Blue ceramic non stick coating is marketed as next-generation in safe, high performance cookware that is free of toxic chemicals. I'm all over that. It's why I ordered this set. It's construction includes a forged aluminum core, high temperature exterior coating, and a stainless steel induction ready plate. For comparison, we were using pots by the brands Wearever and All Clad prior to these. We had to use hot pads and try and add silicone covers on the handles because they got too hot. This is thankfully not a problem with these pans. The handle stays cool enough to pick up with a bare hand. The set is very comprehensive with a 5 a d 8 quart stock pot, 8 and 9.5" fry pans, and three saucepans (1.5 qt, 2qt, and 3 quart). Also included are 5 separate lids. Note that dishwasher use isn't recommended as the harsh detergents can shorten the lifespan of the pans. Also best practices include that you don't immerse hot cookwear in water. The set comes with a helpful, paper booklet which describes the pans, their proper care, and the warranty. (The hardcopy little booklet was a welcome packaging feature for this 50± crowd. -One less QR code to scan and try to read small print on the phone!) The set comes with a one year warranty. My only slight con, compared to our prior saucepans, is that there is no pour spout on the side of the pan. That small detail was not enough to remove a star however, and as noted, loving the copper color in our kitchen. The pans arrived in very secure packaging. No potential for dings or scrapes.
