I own a tough chewer. And I mean tough. He can destroy just about everything I give him. It once took him less than three minutes to destroy a Kong Extreme toy (which I bought on Chewy and they refunded immediately) so finding toys to stand up to him have been hard. However, Nylabone has been a life saver and this particular toy is one of his favorites. He will chew each ball end until it is a fine sharp point. Perfect for stepping on in the middle of the night. 😁 He can’t bite chunks out of it which is a great feature too. Keeps him busy for a long time. I think the price is fair for this chew toy based on the length of time it lasts. For reference, my dog is a 55 pound red heeler/pit mix and the toy is the perfect size for him. May be a bit hard for teething puppies. Read more

I have bought hundreds of plastic chew bones over the years. I don't understand why, but every one of our dogs love this bone better than any of the others. It was originally given to us as a gift from our veterinarian who said her dogs love it the best. That played out to be totally true. We have since bought several more because all of our dogs steal them from each other. It is the chew bone of choice in our house. I think they like it so much because they can really hold it between their paws and really intensely chew on it. They last well. We still have the original one our vet gave us and it is still in service to our dogs love of chewing on something hard. I am a dog trainer with a lot of training clients, many of whom I recommend this product to-especially for puppy and adolescent dogs in need of chewing and distractions. Read more

She chews on it a lot, one knob at a time. When the first knob gets too rough she moves on to the next one. When all knobs are rough and nearly gone, we give her a replacement toy. We often buy two or three of these at a time. They’re very strong and don’t fall apart or shed small pieces! Great product! Read more

I have an extreme power chewer and he has had this toy for 6 months and it is just now showing signs of a little wear and he chews on it 3-4 times a week. When I say he chews on it I mean he chews so loud and hard that you have to turn the tv up because he is the loudest thing in the room. You definitely don't want to step on this on the way to the bathroom in the middle of the night so for your sake make sure it's out away before bed. The shape of the toy allows Swiper (my dog) to get a good hold on the toy and get a good chewing going on with his back teeth. Without this toy I am sure he would have eaten our couch and a couple of chairs by now. One of his favorite outside toys is a 2x4 he swiped out of the garage so you get the idea. He also chews on rocks of he can "swipe" any alas his name. So finding him good toys that last is a challenge and this is a winner in our book! Also some worry about these hard toys drawing blood or dogs chewing so hard they loose teeth, but we haven't witnessed this with Swiper. Read more

I recently purchased the Nylabone Power Chew Axis Bone Chew Toy for my aggressive chewer, and overall, it's been a solid addition to our toy collection. The bacon flavor is a hit, keeping my dog engaged for hours. The design allows for easy gripping from any angle, which is great for her. While it’s durable, I noticed some wear after a few weeks, hence the 4-star rating. It's perfect for promoting healthy chewing habits, but I wish it lasted a bit longer. Still, I would recommend it to fellow dog owners looking for a reliable chew toy! Read more

Got 2 of these for my girls (destruction demons). They have been chewing on these for a year now and the toys just keep on going with no major damage. Now if I could get them stuffed toys that could last as long as these chew toys. Read more

I have a hard chewing puppy that likes to actually swallow what she chews up. So soft things or anything that is going to produce chunks are no good for her. This toy has survived for a few weeks now with little wear. Despite her best efforts, she hasn't been able to break off pieces. The ends are mostly scarred with marks, but no chunks are missing. A bonus is that the toy is large and orange. Easy to find in the yard when the grass has been neglected or when she carries it across to the neighbors and forgets to bring it back. My only complaint is that it hurts like the devil when she drops it on a toe!! Read more
