NYXI Hyperion Pro Wireless Controller for Switch Switch OLED Hyperion switch controller with Hall Effect Joystick Programmable 6-Axis

I normally can't be bothered to write Amazon reviews, but wow, this controller is phenomenal. We've had our Switch for nearly four years now, but I've never "taken it seriously" or used it much (especially in handheld mode) until I bought these joycons/controller. If you're like me and are used to Xbox 360 or PS4 style controllers and found the stock joycons literally hard to use, this controller is for you. The thumbsticks on this thing are genuinely some of the best I've ever touched, I get actually sad going back to my dualshock 4 controller after using this thing too much. The rounded grips on the back, full sized buttons, and immaculate thumbsticks really make every game, from Mario 3D world to Red Dead Redemption an absolute delight to play, like having an Xbox 360 that plays Nintendo games that you can play in bed or on the go. My only minor complaint is that the joycons are a little wobbly when mounted to the included middle connector piece. They fit so nice and snug and firm on the side of the switch itself, its a bit of a shame that they don't do so to the middle piece as well when I'm playing on the TV. But with how great they feel in handheld mode, I honestly find it hard to care too much. I highly highly recommend, especially when they go on sale for ~55 bucks. These are the absolute best controllers I've ever had. The only reason I bought another set was I accidentally broke the old ones (and was my fault). But these never had drift and feel good in the hand while playing and used for long hours. Read more

These are my go to controllers for playing my PS5 and Xbox. Fire up remote play, connect to phone or tablet via bluetooth, and you’re good to go (either on tablet or TV). They do wear out over time like any controller but I love love that they are split in half. I can move my arms into any position and don’t need to be confined to one pose. It’s also big and feels like a real controller. I can play competitive games with no drop off using this setup… can’t say that about baby size switch joycons or the nyko ones. Lastly this controller also works on PC but requires a little more tinkering and know how. I like them for consoles better. This controller seems great in every way...the feel, design, quality, led lights. I bought this to replace my Hori split controller as i thought it was great that this one could connect together to form a wireless pro contoller as well...however it lost connection frequently, one side would just disconnect from the switch, then the other, every few minutes it seemed. It was fully charged as well. Maybe I received a defective one, but too expensive to have issues like that. Read more

Don’t get me wrong these joycons are comfortable in the hand. Simple enough to set the additional button. Trouble is when you take the joycons off of the switch. They won’t save their pairing and have to reconnect and makes it challenging to uniofy as one controller, they won’t wake the switch when turning on the controller. And when the pairing is lost it seems to forget the mapped button that was saved so you have to do it again. I think you should do some more research their may be better ones out there for a little more money. Read more

I absolutely love this controller! I originally had the Hori Split Pro, but I wanted something with wireless connectivity so I can use it with the flip grip for Pinball FX. This controller exceeded my expectations in all categories. I have 2 Switch OLEDs so I am using the NYXI Hyperion Pro strictly for handheld mode for my secondary Switch. The controllers are lightweight, buttons feel nice, and I love the RGB. Nice to know I'll never have to worry about drift since these have hall effect joysticks. Very happy with my purchase. Read more
