I haven't used the refill yet, but the mop it goes on works great. This was the fourth refill I have bought. The last one I bought did not hold up as well as the first two; might have had a weak spot or something. However, for a chore that I hate to do; this mop is the best available. I had a problem with the sponge separating from the metal clip. I contacted the company, and they stood behind their product with a free replacement. Read more

I really like this mop. It's great for cleaning tile floors. Read more

The good: Soft sponge mop head replacement with a string fabric covering for gentle (only) scrubbing. Very easy to use. Holds lots of liquid (water or mopping solution) for wet mopping. Fits the mop handle perfectly. The not-so-good: Rather fragile, will too easily rip apart if scrubbing even slightly vigorously. Also, somewhat difficult to rinse thoroughly (requires repeating many times to get soil out). And, unforunately, replacing the sponge head is kinda' difficult because it takes a lot of clumsy maneuvering to get the head properly seated on the steel prong that operates it. Read more

Last time I bought one of these it started falling apart the first use. I noticed blue specks on the floor and realized it was the sponge. It seemed that the sponge deteriorated from the inside out. Waste of money. Then I decided just to buy new roller mop instead of just a replacement head since mine was several years old. I had hoped that this would eliminate any problems with the mop head as I really like the roller mops. I took the plastic covering off the mop and dipped the head in my bucket of water and the whole sponge came off the mop. I tried to squeeze the sponge back together and fit the metal piece over it, but it was quite impossible. I have been very disappointed in the quality of this mop head and would really like to have a replacement Rubbermaid one instead but have been unable to find them. Update: bought another head to see if it would be better as I prefer roller mops only to be disappointed again as the mop feel assist from the inside out. Read more

I have had two versions of the mop handle that uses these refills over the years. The first one was definitely engineered better--metal parts where they use plastic now (I only got rid of it because I was moving, and it was easier to buy new than transport. "New brooms sweep clean" and all.) Anyway, the point of that anecdote is that, while my current handle is perfectly fine, I acknowledge that things do change, at O-Cedar as elsewhere. The significant number of negative reviews for these refills had me worried that I could no longer trust this mop. And it was fine. Fine. It didn't dissolve the first time I used it, it gets my floors impeccably clean (and with white floors + a black dog + living in the middle of a dirty city that's a significant accomplishment), and it seems to be durable enough for at least a few months of a "couple times a week" usage. Same as I've been using. Over time, sponge starts losing some chunks due to rubbing against edges of furniture, but still good. Read more

I purchased 2 of the O-Cedar Triple Action Power Scrub Roller Mop Refills because it's harder to find them in stores now. I opened the first one to use and within 10 min of scrubbing the floor the sponge completely fell off the metal track that connects it to the mop. This has never happened to me before, so maybe it was a fluke incident. It was a little discouraging though because I didn't even get one full use out the mop head. I'm hoping to have a better luck with the second one. Read more
