This review is for the Oak Essentials The Body Routine set. Yes, it’s pricey, but I think it’s well worth it. These body products have an excellent smell that’s relaxing and makes me want to sit and linger with them. It’s all put together in a gift-ready box that would be perfect as a holiday gift or a birthday present for someone who appreciates natural bath and body products. All of the products are modern, sleek, and in glass bottles with the exception of the shower gel, giving them a luxurious look and feel. If you look at the listing of things that Oak Essentials strives for in their products, it lets you know these are carefully crafted. They are cruelty-free, non-GMO and organic when they can be, eco-conscious, and without a lot of the bad stuff. I feel good about using these and putting these on my body, as compared to some of the no-name brand things out there that come from who knows where. The body balm is excellent. It’s buttery and smooth and it melts into my skin. The scent is medium in intensity and lingers. My skin feels softer, smoother, and more supple after using it. The body lotion is in a pump-style bottle, making it convenient to put on a nightstand and use before bedtime for a soothing ritual. It’s slightly less emollient than the body balm but still amazingly moisturizing and with that same intoxicating woodsy, herbal, slightly sweet smell. The shower gel is the one I liked the least--it’s still great, but I can smell something in the base notes, maybe the base of the gel itself, that’s not as nice as the scent in the rest of the products. It does lather up nicely and wash away without leaving me feeling stripped. The body scrub is nicely scrubby but not too harsh. It has enough oils to leave your skin feeling moisturized but not dripping with oil or greasy. The body oil is lovely to use almost like a body perfume. It has the same scent as the lotion and balm, and layers nicely with them or after the shower gel. It’s not too heavy or oily. As a whole, I loved this kit. I think it’s well worth the cost for luxury bath and body items, and I feel like there was a great level of attention to detail in terms of making these look, feel, and smell high end. Read more

This self-care spa set is very well packaged and could make for a wonderful gift. It comes with more than what I would think you'd need for your own in-home spa day. It is pricey, but seems to be worth the cost. The lotion feels luxurious. It has a pleasant scent, doesn't leave your skin feeling oily. I haven't used all 5 pieces personally (just the lotion and body wash), but my wife has and said they all were great. Read more

I ordered this to celebrate a milestone birthday and I am so glad I gave it a try. It is an exquisite gift, it comes in a large package and has multiple items to pamper yourself. The company is advertising this set as quiet luxury and I feel like it captures that description perfectly. The items are animal cruelty free, the company creates their products to be petroleum free, phthalate free, no silicones, no parabens, and tries to use local ingredients whenever possible. This set has a multicolor note on the label and I wondered about it. I found that it means that the jars/containers are different colors. You do not get a group of like colored jars/bottles/containers. I thought for the cost I might have liked the jars to be the same but after trying them it was more about the scent and the feel that caused me to forget about the exterior shades. There is a beautiful, soft mixture of natural ingredients, butters and oils that mix with scents to transport you to a place of relaxation beyond your stressful busy life. It would be a special friend, sister, Mom, and wife gift that reinforces the love and care you have for them. This set is quite expensive. You can actually find these products sold individually that you can supplement your kit once you empty these pretty containers. Buying this set is more affordable than picking up each item separately and a wonderful way to try this company's beauty products. I cannot find anything to rate negatively on this set. The price is a bit much but appropriate for the quantity and quality of the products, not too much to downgrade my vote. The soothing items are non-irritating and do not overwhelm a scent that overpowers everything. This is a treasure that exposes the recipient to a young company with a desire to produce natural, luxury quality beauty products. This spa kit is an exceptional example of quiet luxury that pampers and hydrates in soothing ingredients made with intention. Relaxing, soothing, soft, and silky, I am still totally enjoying this gift. Read more

This box is a dream come true. Each product is full-sized and the packaging of the bottles and jars are elite. They're substantial and weighted in a way that feels high-end and luxe. The smell is light and comforting. Each product has been wonderful for me and for my husband who is also using it. His face has never been smooth after exfoliating. This would be an AMAZING gift to treat someone with - or treat yourself! Oh! One more thing: I dropped one in the shower and it did not chip or break despite the shower being surrounded in tile. Woohoo! Read more

I LOVE these products, but I don't think I'll get them from Amazon again. I think the set wasn't kept temperature-controlled and it caused the balm in particular to "rice". I fixed it by wrapping it up in a heating pad for a while which melted it back down and smoothed it back out. That way it's not lumpy when you put it on. The scents of each of the formulas are a little different, which I like. For example, the body wash has a gingery scent, the scrub is a little warm, and the body oil is very light. But they all work very well together. The lotion fragrance is my favorite. Very lavender/cypress- forward. It's also fairly light. I'm not sure why the whole marketing thing is that it replaces your perfume because it's not a long-lasting sort of scent like that. Word of caution, the scrub is VERY emollient so watch out for slipping. Read more
