Great Boot!

justashoppinDecember 17, 2019

I generally don't like to leave reviews until I have had a product for a couple of months, but I have had these boots for a week and I am pleasantly surprised. I had ordered a different pair of Oboz and they were way too narrow so I exchanged them for these because they offered a wide. My suggestion to anyone purchasing any of theses boots is to order a wide because they really run very narrow. I did not purchase these to hike in, but to work in. I needed a boot that is waterproof and slip resistant, as well as offering good ankle support. So far after a week these boot have not let me down and they don't hurt my feet, but hug them. It is almost like not having a boot on at all because the way they are so light weight and the support they offer. I am in these boots for twelve to fourteen hours a night and I have absolutely nothing to complain about as far as fit and utility. I will come back in a couple of months add to this review if anything changes and if they hold up to the rigors of my work I will definitely be purchasing this brand again. Now for my only complaints, my initial purchase for these boots were my own assumption that these were manufactured in the USA, thus justifying the high cost for this boot. I don't feel that that the high cost for something made in Vietnam for cheap labor is something we as Americans should be paying. In addition, their statement reads it helps sustainability and it helps people. I don't think anything that must come from over seas is at all sustainable, while these products come across the seas on large container cargo barges that in turn brings with it things such as the dreaded stink bug and other pestilence. I would have gladly paid three hundred to support the American worker. So Oboz bring your manufacturing here to support people here. Charity starts at home! February 2020 Update on these shoes, I love them, but hate them. Now that I have had these long enough for the breaking in period and sadly I now wish I would have gotten an xxxwide if they make it. I bought these for work and I am in this boot 10 to 14 hours a day. The shoe is constructed well, however it has points in the boot that constantly rub my toes and at the end of the day my feet are in horrible pain. I most likely will no be ordering another pair of these. They are way too expensive to have any issues. Read more

Love or Hate…

I’m one of the lovers of these boots. I think the majority of people really like these boots but there are some foot types that aren’t right for these boots- you’ve got to try them on. Also, If you’re not someone who wears ankle (“mid” boots) you may not like them because you’re not used to this type of boot. But for me, it’s the ankle boot that really works. You get so much more support and traction with ankle boots. And these are exceptionally well made boots. In the last few years, Oboz have become my favorite walking and hiking shoes . I feel like I could walk forever in them. There are no rubbing points or pain. The support orthotic that is built into the Bridger is very comfortable. The materials are top notch. $200 is a lot for a boot- but after you’ve worn them, it seems like a bargain. Also, the wide width makes a big difference. Oboz is what made me realize that I’ve been wearing shoes that are too narrow for me most of my life. Try these Bridgers- you have nothing to loose and I bet you’ll fall in love! Read more

Love Oboz and Love These Boots!

Rebecca L. LatsonAugust 30, 2016

I had never heard of Oboz before until I ordered a pair of boots in a different style a few years ago. I fell in love with this brand and when I saw this style, which looked like it had a bit more ankle support, I just had to order them. Straight out of the box, I couldn't believe how light they were. Even with thick socks, they were easy to pull on. I usually wear a size 7 in a shoe, but I ordered a 8.5 in these boots because they seem to run just a little bit small and my toe kept hitting the front of the boot. I knew I needed a larger size in addition to the toe thing because my feet swell when out hiking. The 8.5 fits wonderfully and allows me room to wear thick hiking socks with a little bit of wiggle room, but snug enough to not have a loose heel. I've worn these boots out in the field on a number of different occasions and have not had a single blister or hot spot. Plus, they have good ankle support for me and the tread is sturdy and has kept me me from slipping in wet or slick situations. I also really like the bright red color I ordered. I did, however, have to replace the rounded laces with flat laces in order to keep the laces from coming untied. I have this issue with pretty much all of my hiking boots and really wish hiking boots would come with flat laces in general. Once I replaced the round laces with flat ones, I had no more problems. As for arch support - I have flat feet so I can't really tell you much about that, except that my feet are comfortable and the boots are not heavy and clunky like others I have in my closet. I know how quickly styles come and go, and I like this particular style so much, I ordered another pair just to have after this pair wears out. Read more

Perfect but toe box not wide enough

KateSeptember 9, 2025

I bought this boot because it supposedly has a wide toe box, but it’s unfortunately not wide enough for my toes. I have an average size foot with long spread-out toes. It seems like a very well-made solid boot that I def would have kept if not for the toe width issue. I like everything about it except the toe box. The boot is exactly as described, would recommend if you have a regular foot. Read more
