It kills just about every known microbe, gram pos and gram neg. It was originally formulated for kennel cleaning so it is reasonably safe to use around animals. That said, don't let them breathe the vapors, rinse afterwards with water, clean and air before you let them back into those areas. The cleaner has a 'sweet' smell, when it gets overpowered it turns 'sour'...so a built in way you can tell that you need to mix a new batch or rinse and apply fresh. It WILL take out hamster urine! I have rescued freshly dog or cat peed couches and mattresses and carpet with it. Especially a couch or mattress it may take quite a bit but. It will do it. If you get animal urine on your clothing, add in the liquid bleach or fabric softener cup instead of those, in your wash and it will take it out. If you can still smell the urine, wash again with same treatment. (this I measure/use the concentrate at full strength) For carpet or mattress or couch, blot with wads of paper towel/put pressure on, etc, and get up as much as you reasonably can, then saturate it with the odoban straight and repeat blotting all the fluid up you reasonably can, reapply and repeat until it no longer smells. It may take quite a bit of work to get it up out of foam or carpet padding! I have used close to a gallon on a couch but it was a lot less than replacing the two month old couch... It may stain or discolor things so test first. A capful added straight out of the jug to a manky ugly old soggy stinky towel load or gym clothes will take the musty mouldy icky smell out. Dilute according to the instructions on side of jug to use for cleaning. It will at 5-7 oz/gallon strength help with bathroom odors especially toilet overflow cleanup or plungers.... (this comes with a 24oz ready to spray, to refill the bottle use two tablespoons or 1/8 cup then refill the bottle with water and pour slow or it will foam, works well) I met this stuff at Sam's Club years and years ago and always like to keep a gallon on hand. For pet issues and mouldy/mildewy smells, and bathroom smell issues, this is the thing. It does NOT *mask* the odors, it works on neutralizing them. I find the scent pleasant, others do not. And the scent doesn't linger. This is a specialty cleaner not a general household cleaner. It does not contain bleach. If you may have to deal with AIDS this will not kill that one, but it will kill a lot of other things. Do Not Mix with Bleach or Ammonia. Use it by itself, or as a laundry washing additive, and rinse well with water after it if you must follow up with either Bleach or Ammonia. Read more

I use Odoban for household cleaning and it is just perfect. It cleans powerfully and effectively, it saves me time and money, the smell is great and lasts for a while. We don’t have pets, but once I cleaned a second hand couch that was stain by pets with it, and it cleaned EVERYTHING! I was impressed. I use it for pretty much for the whole house, so my jugs last me for about two months. Warning: This product is powerful, follow the right ratios for the different uses according to the label for health safety. We just recently purchased a new house that had a basement that smelled strongly of cigarettes. Disgusting. So I did some research and came across this stuff. The reviews were excellent and many people have had great success with eliminating that smokey smell. So I decided to give it a try. Wouldn't hurt! First things first, this stuff smells great! Leaves an area smelling very clean and refreshing. And it kills 99.9% of germs. And apparently it can be used for more than cleaning. You can even spray it onto the A/C filter to freshen the whole house! It can be used with laundry, to freshen trash cans, to mop with, and so much more. Now, onto the dreadful basement. I went in and just doused the place with this stuff. Sprayed all the walls, ceiling, and some of the floor... So I let it soak in for an hour. I went back down to check on the progress and I kid you not... The smoke smell was gone. All I got was a whiff of fresh, clean eucalyptus. (This stuff is pretty strong if used in large quantities like I did.) I was amazed but afraid the smell would just come back the next day. So I kept spraying it daily and now you can't even tell that it was smoked in. The label assures you that OdoBan is "Not a masking agent." I disagree completely. Smells great. I use it in my laundry. I put it in the fabric softener spot. Cleans the clothes really well and makes them smell fresh. I like the spray to use in the bathrooms for cleaning. Seems to remove pee smell good. Says it’s a disinfectant. I’m going to assume it works. I’m no scientist and can test to see if it actually does disinfect. I’ll take the manufacturers word for it. Lol. I like to spray this in my shower after I’m done and let it dry. Seems to keep mold and mildew away between cleanings. Read more
