This is a sweater dress, but don't think of it as a thicker sweater dress; it's not. But I find it perfect to dress up for the holidays with black tights, black booties, and some lovely jewelry. I'm 5'5", 140 lbs, and the medium hits just above my knees and fits great. It's definitely true to size. Looser fit and very comfortable, and I purchased it in black. I had also purchased a nearly identical dress from Pretty Garden because I like their clothing, but it didn't have a sweater-like feel to it at all, and the sleeves at the bottom were just elastic, so that one will be going back. I think the dress is cute, but not for me. I bought it for the length and the button detail on the sleeves. I am tall, 5:9 and 245, and bought a 2xl. The dress did fit. However, I am am a pear/slightly larger on bottom hourglass shape and the dress cut did me no favors. I looked like a mishaped rectangle. So, it maybe for you, but not for me. Read more
