Thid is very well priced and great size and quiality. I use it in my carpeted office to protet the carpet from being ruined by my ofiice chair when I move around. It does a great job and it doesn't hold on to the "dents" from the wheels when I sit for a long time. I have a plus size woman andI am improssed on how the dents come out quickly. I would highly recommend this product. Read more

I bought this chair mat over 3 months ago and I couldn't be happier with my choice. This mat is a fantastic addition to my home office. First and foremost, the durability of the mat is impressive. It's made of a tough material that protects my hardwood floors from scratches caused by my office chair. The chair glides smoothly across the surface without any resistance, which is a huge plus during long work days. The textured surface ensures that my chair stays put, reducing the risk of slipping and making it more comfortable to move around. Maintenance has been a breeze too. Cleaning is effortless, just a quick wipe with a cloth and it looks as good as new. This mat is practical, durable and easy to maintain. Read more

I like that the BesWin Office Chair Mat for Carpets feels sturdy and does a solid job protecting carpeted floors from chair wheels. The thick PVC material seems durable and it stays flat instead of curling up, which really helps for smooth chair movement. The transparent design keeps the room looking clean and lets your carpet show through, instead of ruining the look with a bulky mat. It’s also nice that the underside grips reasonably well on low-pile carpet, so it doesn’t slide around when you roll the chair. Minor con: upon delivery it was somewhat rolled and took extra time/weight to flatten completely — for the first few uses it felt a little wavy under the chair. Read more

As other reviews have stated (dumb me for not reading them!) the material is too soft for the task. My carpet is low pile. I weight 200#. When I sit on the chair for just a minute or so, the wheels sink into the mat, and I can't roll the chair without standing up. $50 wasted; it's going to the landfill. The website does not make it obvious that the mat comes rolled up, but the size apparently requires this. If you can unroll it, then it's probably too soft to do the job. This one is certainly in that group. I've never given out a one star review before, but this product deserves it, if not a zero. It's basically useless. You can see a typical pit in the photo, outlined by the light pattern. DO NOT BUY. Read more

Product is sturdy but tough to roll out. Had to weigh it down for a couple days for it to flatten. This particular mat is better for high nap carpet. I have it on an area rug and my office chair is struggling to roll over it because of the prongs going into the carpet and it's not sinking in all the way. Overall it's doing the job but next time I will probably get something different for an area rug. Read more

Works like it should. I've only had it a few days but the quality of the plastic seems durable. The bottom is spiked so when it's in the carpet it's not moving. I got it to go over two area rugs and since the rugs are not that thick and on hardwood you can feel the spikes when the chair rolls over. It's more for carpeted rooms. Read more

This isn't going to be a comment on the performance of this mat as it's been less than a day since I received it, and, according to the enclosed flyer, it may take three days before I can use it. No, this is a comment on the horrible packaging of the mat and the 90 minutes it took for me to open the boxes and unspool the large 48"x60" mat. It's customer abuse. It makes the most complex IKEA assembly look like putting together a child's wooden puzzle. First off, I received a tall, brown, corregated box (7"x12"x58"). It bore no Amazon markings or Amazon tape so I assume the box was from the manufacturer. (I, of course, don't know that for a certainty.) I opened it. Inside was another tall, brown corregated box (5.5"x5.5"x48"). I opened it. Inside was the wound mat, curled up like a small rug or bolt of cloth. I took it out and Immediately tried to unwind it. It didn't open easily so I searched for tape or some other binding holding the mat so firmly wound. Nope. It was just super tightly spooled and not going to be unspooled easily. To be clear, I'm not talking about a soft, pliable sheet. No, as described on the site, this is a hard, 2.2 mm thick, "premium PVC" mat with 3 mm spikes. Irony alert: "The rolled up package is easy to carry," says the Amazon site. "But it is easy to flatten, just add as much weight as possible to the corners and it will flatten." The enclosed flyer adds: "Your mat will gradually regain and retain it's [sic] flat state. The could take up to 72 hours..." I won't describe in detail the improvised process I used to unroll the mat, only to say that it took about 6 inches at a time to unspool it, leveraging two small boxes to wedge against the roll to keep it from reversing and rolling back up while I employed octopus-like contortions to simultaneously position heavy objects on the mat and unroll it while kneeling or standing on the unspooled portion. All while those 3 mm spikes were ripping into me and whatever heavy objects I tried to use. The five-pound sacks of gardener's pebbles were no match to the stiff premium PVC. I wound up securing the four corners with two large tool boxes, a box of photographic equipment supplemented with a bag of coins, and the two-volumn condensed Oxford English Disctionary. So that's how things lie right now. The flyer suggests that the flattening process might be speeded up a bit by placing the weighted-down mat "in a warm room or near a sunny window." Well, it's 13-degrees here as I write this review; the heat's at full blast, and I'm still wearing a thick sweater here at the keyboard. Warm and sunny are relative, I guess, but I don't think I'm going to make a lot of progress on that front. I might, however, give my wife's hair dryer a try. Addendum: It's been two weeks now since I unspooled the mat and 10 days since I placed it. It's lying mostly flat, but about one-third of the total area--not permanently secured by the wieght of the desk and my occupied chair--remains noticeably bowed. The bow on leading (unsecured) edge is one-and-a quarter-inch off the carpet. Read more
