Just what I needed

First, the colors are much brighter than what the pictures show, making the mat much prettier than I expected! Even my picture doesn't quite do it justice. Second, when I was shopping for one of these, I noticed that one reviewer had stated that she put her mat on top of the plastic chair mat she was using, because THAT was on top of carpet. I have similar set up. I love my chair mat because it's so sturdy that it will probably outlive me, but it's a slick as glass and my chair rolls around with a will of its own. My husband works from home and has the same set up. We have each accidentally flipped our chairs right out from under us by leaning over. This mat will solve that problem once & for all! I have it laying over my plastic, sturdy chair mat, which sits on my carpet. This ought to hold everything in place for me. Already I feel a difference in my knees, which I used to have to abuse by trying to keep my chair from rolling out from under me. This isn't a thick mat by any means, but that works well for my purposes. The back is rubberized to keep the mat from moving and considering how well it works on this slick chair mat under it, it should work very well on tile, hardwood, laminate, etc. AND over an existing plastic chair mat if that's what you're working with. Bonus: it's prettier than a plastic chair mat, too. It does come folded, and there are some pressure marks from the folds, but not exactly hard creases. These are already working themselves out after only a few minutes. How will it will last, I can't say, of course. I know it's machine washable, but I don't know the pattern will hold up in the machine. I have no doubt my robot vac can keep it lint, hair and dust free, though. Now all I have left to do is find one that works in my husband's office, too. Time to save his knees. Read more

A nice entryway rug

I used this for my entryway and it has been about a month and it has held up great. It doesn't move around. It did have some wrinkles at first but they're gone now. I love the simple look of it and how it ties in nicely with my other furniture and decor. It also seems like it will be easy to clean. It is not a thick or comfortable rug to walk on so if you're looking for that type of rug you should keep looking. I think it is a more functional rug for entryways and offices. I will say, I have a second one in a different size that I put on my carpeted floor and it keeps moving. This one on my hardwood stays put though so keep in mind where you plan to use it. Read more

Acceptable quality, does the job

No complaints. Looks just like photos. It is thin which is what I was looking for; if you are looking for something thick and fluffy then this is not for you. It lies flat, no creases. I think it should last for a long time. I haven’t given it 5 stars because it is not outstanding, it’s not impressive, it does what it is supposed to do. Read more

Beats a plastic floor protector for rolling chairs, and they are much easier to clean and they put!

These work pretty well with chairs with the wheels that came with plastic wheels. I am going to get hard rubber wheels that are wide enough, and to should roll even better. The backing grips very well on hardwood floors and stay put, without any sliding we had from the floor protectors we have used for along time. Also, if you do accidentally roll the chair of the rug, these rugs are quite thin, making it easy to roll back on and doesn't bunch the edge of the rug. These chair rugs come folded multiple times, so it is important to open the packages an open the rug for a day or two to give it time to relax before put it on the floor. When siting where the rug is going to be vacuum that area first and them clean the floor with a swiffer that has cleaner for the type of floor you have. After cleaning, use a clean and dry stiffer to polish the floor and leave along for a couple of hours. The rug is very dense and also very thin, perfect for a chair rug. Time will tell how the rugs are durable, they look like a good fit for a chair rug, an entry door rug, etc. Easy to clean a nd they stay put. When putting the rug in place, you will see that there are some minor wrinkles, so to get it perfectly flat. The best way (for me) is to before putting any chair or walking on the rug. To remove the wrinkles, use four cardboard boxes weighted to 25-30lbs for each book. Start by putting one box covering on corner, leaving 1-2" of rug one both of the corner edges. Next corner, stretch the rug away from the first corner (not so much to move the 1st box). As you stretch the rug away from 1st corner and when you have tension, push the rug and make good contact. Then place the second box on the 2nd corner, also 1-2" from the edges of the rug. Doing the same steps on corners 3 and 4. Once all for boxes are in place, walk with bare, or stocking feet all over the rug (not on the boxes). This ensures that the rug is not going to move at all. Last two steps are one, slide each box to each corner so the rug corners have the box weight at each corner. I recommend leaving the boxes for 3-4 hours at minimum, overnight is ideal. When the boxes come off, the rug should be perfectly flat and no sliding on the floor. I have two of them now, but only a few days. The rugs had no weird smells. Hope this helps... Read more
