My office chair was slowly ruining the carpet so I bought this chair mat and now no more waves in the carpet. Setup was straightforward. It arrived rolled up, and after laying it flat overnight and curling in reverse, it settled perfectly. The size is just right for my office setup. My carpet is low pile, and the mat grips it well without sliding around. Its clear and simple to looks and doesnt cover the carpet design. Once it is down, it blends in. The mat feels solid and durable. My chair rolls smoothly now without leaving dents or marks in the carpet. Overall, It protects the carpet, improves chair movement, and looks clean. Read more

This chair mat has worked really well in my home office. It’s large enough to cover the area under my desk and gives me plenty of space to roll around without catching on the carpet. The plastic feels thick and durable, and the surface is smooth for the chair to glide over easily. The lip is a nice addition to protect the area right under the desk. I’m using it on low pile carpet and it stays in place pretty well. Took some time to fully flatten out . Read more

Good size for my needs. Absolute pain in the butt to unroll though. I would have benefitted from another set of hands. I used some 20-lb weights and a heat gun, but even after a week I feel like I need to hit it with some more heat in a couple spots. Read more

The heavy plastic chair mat with serious spiked back side is crushed down to fit their specialty sized box. Unrolling it is very difficult and can take multiple days or weeks to lay flat if it does lay flat. If you decide to return it, it absolutely will not fit in the original box, and due to its new circumference and length, a box to fit it in will be very difficult to find. The manufacturer has the technology machines to curl it and box it to the small dimentions they desire for shipping. You will not have that equipment so good luck in trying to return it. Buying products from Amazon on almost a daily basis, I haven't had an experience of not being able to return an item for lack of unusual sized box that would be hard to find or purchase. Read more

It's thick and sturdy. I've had zero permanent indentations after weeks of use. The little grips on the bottom actually anchor it firmly to the carpet; it hasn't shifted an inch! Now my chair moves smoothly and effortlessly. It's a high-quality product, worth the investment. Highly recommend if you're tired of fighting with your carpet. Read more

This carpet protector does its one job beautifully. It comes rolled up, but quickly becomes flat after unpacking. It is durable and allows the chair to glide with ease. Seems safe to use on most carpets. Read more

Only had it a couple of weeks so don't want to give it 5 stars yet. However, I'm pretty happy with it so far. It is thick and firm and my chair rolls fairly well on it. My only negative is that it comes rolled up and because it is so stiff and thick it takes at least two, preferably three strong people to unroll it. It needs to be weighted down for 24 to 48 ours or it will spring back to its rolled up form. Use heavy weights (cinder blocks?) to hold it down. Any lighter object will be launched into the air when the mat rolls itself back up. EDIT: Raised to 5 stars now that I have had this for a little while. Durable, functional, no issues at all.
