If you read the one-star reviews you might conclude this is a flimsy product that breaks in half if you rest it across your knees, and will cut your fingers if you hold it by the metal clip at the top. In fact it is just a normal, regular clipboard. The wood part is as thick and strong as you would expect. The metal clip does not have sharp edges.
