I purchased these glasses with hopes that the lens described in the product description and photo would actually transition. They did not. When I contacted the company support, they insisted that the lenes were in fact transitional. And that I should be in the sunlight for the transition. Well, I have been outdoors as I was told to do and the lenses did not transition. I will bite the bullet and order a pair of lens that state they are transitional from grey to dark grey from the company site on Amazon. I will hope they work better. Even tough I will have to pay extra to get the product that was described for the glasses I ordered. AS for the quality of the video , that is exceptional. However the date stamp on the file created is incorrect and did not even update when connected to my phone. I am not sure how to rectify that. The config file on the storage drive is in Chinese so I cannot modify the file. I am not impressed with the company's representation of their products. The support team from OHO Sunshine contacted me and we attempting to resolve the issue. I will update again after the resolve. 3/27/2025 I received the replacement lenses today as the support team had promised. Just got the smart glass and used it for about a day, this is my initial impression: PROS: • Good fit and cool design • Bluetooth connection to my phone was easy and seamless • Pictures and Video quality is good but not top notch • Battery can last for an 1hr of recording videos and playing song CONS: • No Indication to know when you have started recording • The date/time stamp on the video and pictures is 2020, and when I tried to update the settings on the config file on the storage drive it is written in Chinese so I cannot modify the file, which I find frustrating and annoying. Also when I tried to email the support team using an email I found on the website contact@ohosunshine.com, the email was undelivered and returned So while I find the product a good one, not able to know when the recording have started and not able to change the time stamp, means the product does not meet my expectation and I am considering making a return asap. It was these or meta Ray-Bans. Metas only record video in portrait and that sucks. So, i figured I’d give these a try. First off, they don’t look too bad. They actually look pretty good. I like them best with the dark lenses in. I thought one set of lenses would be transitions, but if they are it’s really slight. The stems (if thats what they’re called) is the only tell that they aren’t regular glasses. Well that and the camera in the middle of the glasses. I’m not sure what the size of my face is, but they fit a little snug. Video is decent. It’s HD. It’s 1080x1920. 30 fps. There’s no stabilizing so it can be a bit jerky if you’re not mindful of how much you’re moving. Audio has a lot of highs and not enough lows. Absolutely no bass. I can listen to music on it, but not for long because it starts to hurt my ears. Controls are simple. Two buttons. When you turn it on it says it’s on and when you turn it off it says its off. When you turn the video on a red light on the inside of the stem blinks and when you hit the video button again it records a 15 sec video. I guess that for social media. When you try to stop the video it isn’t as straight forward. I have been holding down the button for like 20 seconds and then i turn off the glasses to be sure. I wish the glasses would say “recording” and “recording stopped”. that would help. I don’t know how to take a picture. I haven’t tried yet. It’s easy to get the footage off the glasses. I have a mac. I just plugged them in and a folder pops up. I download the clips before looking at them. Viewing clips directly from the glasses causes them to disconnect. The glasses has a USB-C port with a weak little rubber dust cover that dangles more than it covers. I want to remove it, but then what about the dust? Overall the glasses are good. They aren’t too big and they don’t draw too much attention. I don’t think you can put these on and go be a spy because there is an obvious camera lens at the center of the glasses. I liked the glasses, they're really cool, nice sound, I just did a little test recording and it seems to work pretty well, not sure yet if using for mountain biking ride if it will capture stable imagine, but in any case I wouldn't hold against the glasses itself if it doesn't Now, for the low score, what got me disappointed was that I'm pretty sure the glasses I received were used, as there's clear signs of wear on the arms, the cleaning cloth was dirty and so was the hard case and the cloth pouch, and the most evident sign of it being used, thumb print in the lenses. This is a very cool design glass with the camera. I travel often, so taking photos and videos during my trips at airports, restaurants, museums etc hands free is a huge plus. Also, it is less conspicuous and attracts less attention from people. I also find it incredibly useful when I sit in medical conferences or lectures where I can take photos and videos that I can review later. It can be a great learning tool aid for review so you will not miss important clinical or non-clinical information. Also, through your optometrist, you can easily modify this glass with your prescription lenses eyeglasses or sunglasses. Through your optometrist, the modification will not damage the camera and electronics that come with its frame design. For all studious students of learning and traveling, you must get this item.
