These washed and dried great (washed and dried according to directions). They’re very soft, and absorbs all the water after stepping out of the shower. They’re pretty thick, but allow my door to swing over them still. The size is true to description and they look great in the bathroom. Chenille a weave or texture, not the fabric content. This is 100% synthetic. Since original Chenille, back in the old days, was cotton, I assumed this was cotton. The mat is thick and plush, I just have an aversion to synthetic fibers, I don't like the feel of it. This is not a universal opinion, it is a very nice color, and very cushy. I will keep it but I wanted to point out the deceptiveness of the listing. I am in the business of household fabric and its applications. If I was misled, I think others may be as well. The definition of the word in french is hairy caterpillar, and this very much resembles many many hairy caterpillars. Read more
