My complaint is not with Amazon, Target or even the product,On October 19th.2007 after much deliberation over which product to purchase I ordered an Olivia 532H 32-inch Lcd TV. The product was shipped and delivered as promised on the 26th October.> I unpacked the unit and installed as per instructions(relativly easy to do).To my dismay there was a vertical Bright Yellow line in the middle of the screen four and five eigth's of an inch wide. To this end ,I contacted Syntax-Brillian by phone on the > 29/10 ,after waiting for an answer for 36 minutes ,I spoke to a Thomas Vazquez. He e-mailed me the relavent forms which I returned at 3.30pm that day.Mr Vazquez informed me that the shipping company would contact me as to the delivery date.> On the 2/11 I e-mailed Mr Vazquez request the status of my order.DID NOT RETURN CALL.> On the 5/11 I phoned again ,this time waited for 31 minutes .Then a Mr Christopher Terry was at the other end.He informed me that the paper work I faxed had not been received(My first experience of this since FAX machines have been in service)however this time I e-mailed the relevant papers back within thirty minutes.Mr Terry replied by e-mail to say they had arrived, and was being proccessed.> 9th November ,e-mailed Mr Terry for the status of my replacement TV.DID NOT RETURN CALL AGAIN.> Tuesday 13th November, phoned again (28 min wait this time).spoke to a Daniel,Told me that according to my records ,all was in order ,and thought that the replacement TV should have been shipped on the 12th,Daniel gave me his own phone number so that I could contact him re delivery date and time.Phoned 909-348-6321 on the 16/11,his number all right, did not answer left a message.DID NOT RETURN CALL. 20TH November Phone and was told that I would be called back to see what the status is on the replacement TV. 21st Nov at last a call to advise of shipping tracking number. The product is great for the price but as one can see the after sales service STINKS!!!!.Go figure if the TV quit working and you need a service call. Read more

Olevia is a brand owned by Sony which is the reason I took a chance on it. The price was very competitive when I bought it. It's been performing flawlessly for the last 13 years! Picture is quite good for a 720p!! The remote held in there too. However, I started having problems with the "input selection" button a couple of years ago. NOT BAD! I finally retired the TV this year and "upgraded" to a 43". Read more

I've had this TV for a month now, and am impressed with its picture, style, and the number and type of connections on the back of the TV. It is a "Best Buy" in my book, plus March 2007 Consumers Reports gave the Olevia a pretty good review. There are two annoyances that leave it short of five stars: (1) the TV is not able to be controlled by my Comcast-provided remote, and the Olevia remote can't be programmed to control all the features of the cable box - therefore I have to use two remotes; (2) there is a piercing blue light that emits from the on/off switch when the TV is turned off, so if you have this TV in the bedroom, you'll have to put a little piece of black electrical tape over the light because it is so uncomfortably bright. TV itself was pretty much OK, nothing special. But Olevia Customer Service was NON-EXISTENT. MANY phone calls and e-mails over about a year plus period only got stalls and jibberish about their reorganizing after being bought out and so forth. Never ever got anything but junk conversations. NO resolution, even in the tiniest way. I had to throw one of my 2 Olevias in the trash (very expensive garbage). The other is still working pretty much OK, hopefully. I would NEVER recommend Olevia, NEVER. Read more

I bought an olevia 32 inch and while I like many things about it, the jacks available on the back have no real markings for use that I understand. It should be in everyone speak, not tech speak or for those used to the new terms. I use a/v cables, and while there are sound jacks for the red and white ends, where the heck is the video? also, it is totally not compatible with my magnavox [new] dvd player/recorder. the manual that came with it is written in such a way as to be the least helpful possible. and the cd which I thought would have more info is simply the electronic format of the no help manual. I would not recommend it to anyone, unless all you do is watch tv and use nothing else people have begun to use tv's for. Read more

I chose this television because of the excellent review that was given to it in the March 2007 issue of Consumer Reports. It was not their first choice, but it was their second choice and the price was nearly half the price of the first choice. I am really delighted with this television. The sound and picture are very good. I consider this TV to be a great buy...all things considered, this is the best for the money. It performs flawlessly and completely fulfills my expections. Once ordered the TV arrived in less than a week by FedEx. Read more

I LOVE this TV. Picture is sharp, with good color, clarity and contrast, whether HD or not. No dead pixels. After adjusting audio properties, the sound is the best of any TV I have ever owned, and I'm pretty picky about audio quality; not as good as a separate audio receiver of course, but very good for a TV set; I do not see what other reviewer complaints about sound are based on. The menu is easy to navigate and allows TV viewing during operation. I prefer the electronic manual, there is too much paper junk associated with most products. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this TV for the price. I think it is an awsome buy. Read more

I purchased this TV as it was highly rated by Consumer Reports. It was not hard to install and it has given me years of fabulous service. It has not made the list since and nobody seems to know about it or sell them for that matter. It is very reliable. Read more
