I'm a female, and I got the smallest size, which is about a size larger than what I needed (I usually wear a man's 7, and this was an 8). However, the way they're made, thankfully, allows me to wear them just fine! These shoes are some of THE most comfortable everyday shoes I've ever owned, and I expect that when these go to the great shoe cobbler in Elf Land, I'll get an elf to order me another pair. I live in the country, so I walk a lot on bare ground, no sidewalks and they have excellent traction and a well-balanced stability which I value. I'm not sure in what other dimension these others live in but in my reality these shoes and my less expensive replacement olukais have both run smaller than they should. This specific design, moloa loa shoe, is a beautiful leather loafer but beyond that it's my opinion that raving reviews about comfort and fit are over exaggerated. I wear a 12.5 and they do not come in 12.5 but given the misleading reviews I expected I would fit in their 12. I was wrong and while impressed by its looks they were too tight, actually uncomfortable, over hyped and, all things considered, overpriced. I returned them easily enough and purchased a less expensive non leather style of olukais but a size 13 instead. I could hardly believe it but they too are actually not all that comfortable AND they are also snug almost AS snug as the others in size 12! But not being leather they are more giving and I'm choosing to keep them and pocket the 40+ dollars I saved. Read more

This is the second pair of these shoes that I have purchased. My prior shoes still look excellent and I have had them for over four years. I wanted a pair of black shoes and my wife allowed me to order these. I like the fact that you can wear them with the heel folded down or with the heel up. They are built well enough that you could wear them for shopping or going out for the day. I don’t think that they would be robust enough for hiking. The overall build quality of the shoes.
