I wasn't sure what to expect with this pillow because i don't normally like memory-foam-like pillows. It got here a bit compressed and i removed and washed the pillowcase. In the time it took to wash and dry the case, the pillow had puffed up into proper shape and the case was easy to remove and replace. I'm like a bloodhound when it comes to smells and there was NO detectable smell with this pillow, even while laying on it hours after receiving it. My husband got an expensive name brand (starts with Tempur and ends with pedic) and we had to leave that one out in the garage for weeks, possibly months, because of the overwhelming chemical smell when we opened that. This pillow was smell free from the start. Then I slept on it. I normally prop myself up on many pillows for comfort but my neck has been hurting lately so i wanted to try a good cervical pillow. That first night was THE BEST night's sleep i had in ages. No tossing and turning trying to find a comfortable position, just deep, satisfying sleep. Just enough support and just enough softness, and as a hot sleeper, it stayed cool with no need to flip it for a "cool side." After a week of using this, my neck feels so much better and I feel more well rested. I'd recommend this to anyone considering this type of pillow. I do wish it came with an extra pillow case though, because the odd shape of the pillow will make it hard to find another case that fits. But I'll deal with that in the future. Read more

This pillow is very nicely made. It's bigger than expected, but sewn and constructed well. It feels pricier than it actually is. It also gives two height options, depending on whether you use the top or bottom half of it. Unfortunately, it's just a bit too firm for my taste. Also, you need to have your head in just the right place, or else it's an awkward fit that can leave you with a crick in your neck. Between that and the amount of space it uses on my bed, it's just not working out for me. Despite that, it's a good quality pillow with an intentional design, and it sounds like it's working very well for some other reviewers, so it may be worth giving a try at this price point! While I can see the thought put into the ergonomic design of this pillow, I’m still on the fence about it. The pillow is very firm and although it provides solid neck support, I’ve actually woken up with some neck aches on a few mornings. It does have a cooling effect, which is perfect for someone like me who runs hot. I think this is one of those pillows that takes a while to get used to. If you're switching from a traditional soft pillow, the transition can be a bit difficult. It does seem to keep my head in a good position for spinal alignment, and I like that it's designed for side, back, and stomach sleepers. I'm a consistent side sleeper and I do like the wings where you can put your arms since I typically would tuck them under my pillow and they would fall asleep. Overall, it's not a bad product, just not a perfect fit for me yet. I’m going to give it a bit more time, hoping my body adjusts to it. Read more

I'm not sure this pillow is for me, it's on the firm side and is one that doesn't really play well with other pillows, it's kind of its own unique thing that can't sit on top of anything else well or support other ones, and needs a fairly significant amount of real estate on the bed. And the shape somehow didn't quite agree with me. But if it did, it's a very solid pillow and probably pushes on the spots it's supposed to pretty well if you lay on it correctly. I just couldn't find one that suited me. I don't think it's all that helpful for side sleeping--it seems like you need to be on your back--and I just can't fall asleep that way. And it also seems my needs don't align with the cervical targeting, maybe it's more of a shoulder thing in my case. But it's a pretty well made pillow, so I feel confident saying that it's probably good at hitting the right spots if they're the right spots for you . Read more

I have been testing this pillow for several days now and from the moment I first tried it I felt more relaxed. I of course washed the removable pillow case first and let the pillow air out some since it had a slight chemical odor to it before using it. I normally use a plain old memory foam pillow on a hybrid mattress (springs, cooling gel and memory foam) and replace the pillow every couple of years but this pillow is so much better! The corners are raised slightly and the center (once you remove the pillow case to be washed) reveals and hole in the center. The pillow case snaps together in the middle. This pillow has different spots for different areas of pain relief (side, neck and back of the head) which is rather unique. Luckily for me I do not have pain but I am always looking for a more comfortable nights sleep. The first time I tried it I almost fell fast asleep in the middle of the afternoon, it is that comfortable. I do not know long term how I will feel about it, but being that it is not just a one piece pillow I do not expect it to lose its contoured shape and firmness any time soon. Even if it does loose its shape and firmness it does not cost much more than the pillow I was using before which still makes this a really good deal. Read more
