I had never owned a lunch box before so I wasn’t sure if it would be a good fit for us. I mainly bought it because I loved the idea of having an insulated container together with the actual lunch box. such a clever idea! We’ve been using this lunch box for over two years now. Compared to other lunch boxes, this one is heavier. At first I didn’t like it because I was used to plastic containers. I bought it because I wanted to provide my child with a high-quality and safe place to store food. The quality has never disappointed me. It doesn’t crack, it’s easy to clean, there are no stains, and NO LEAKS! We use the insulated container every day with some fruits and vegetables, sometimes hummus, yogurt etc Their customer service is a dream! I had issues with my order (because I ordered it incorrectly), and they immediately sent me an email to help me out. Overall we love OmieBox and have bought several colors and accessories! Pros: It's a SUPER durable design, out Blue sky and Meadow boxes have been used half of last school year, all summer at outdoor soccer camp in the city, & half of this school year so far and doesn't have a scratch on it yet, easy to clean, holds a good amount of food, haven't had any issues with leaks, keeps food warm for hours in thermos, love being able to customize the leak proof spacious side compartments, & can be used with thermos or without. Cons:Price is a little high for targeted audience(even celebrities have said it's a splurge if you have multiple kids), two of our thermos got stuck closed(was able to get one open after a week in the freezer), couldn't fit in last years Cat & Jack lunch bag without leaving the zipper open a little and the handle sticking out( middle schooler was able to manage no problem)so had to buy a Champion Estate lunch bag this year, doesn't come with the name tag the OmieUp comes with even though they're the same price and younger kids would probably need it more than the older kids the OmieUp is targeted to(NOT TO SAY the OmieUp shouldn't come with it or that you should raise the price), doesn't come with the icepack the OmieUp comes with even though it's the same price. Although I haven't had to need one because I usually freeze items like yogurt or applesauce, the company adding one to the OmieUp or saying we can add icepacks to the outside of this one makes it seem like you do need it. But again OVERALL a great lunch box and I would even buy more if they send me a replacement for the stuck thermos because that would show me their customer service is great as well. Read more

It holds up to daily use, even with a rough-and-tumble kindergartener. The thermos doesn’t leak, and the main box seals tightly. We’ve had no spills in her backpack. The thermos sits securely in its own space and doesn’t affect the other food. Easy to Clean The main box is hand-washed, while the thermos, gasket, lid, and insert all go in the dishwasher. Everything dries overnight, and there are no tricky corners where food gets stuck. A Few Things to Know The thermos lid can be hard for younger kids to open on their own. The box is a bit heavier (1.7 lbs), but the built-in handle makes it easy to carry. There’s a short learning curve with reinserting the lid seal—nothing major.
