Expensive and fails passthrough charging

Jake Visβ€”January 1, 2025

Does not support charging from USB-C while also providing power over the DC port. Also fails at passthrough charging on USB-C (charging at 20v PD on one port, and providing power at 20v PD on the other). Read more

Such a versatile beast of a power bank!

Williamβ€”December 24, 2024

I seem to collect power banks. And most recently I've focused on power banks that I can use to run my mobile office. This one meets that need. Not only will it output a maximum 100 watts, which is more than sufficient to power my laptop, but I can charge my phone, earbuds, etc. wirelessly. It supports pass-through charging, and has both USB (A & C) input/output as well as barrel plug input/output. I haven't charged it via the barrel plug port yet, but I have charged it a couple of times now via USB-C, and charging is sufficiently quick. The screen displays pretty much all the information that a user might want, albeit in black & white as opposed to the color screens that many newer power banks feature. Still, it's the information that is important. And this one includes power in/out, temperature of the unit, time remaining, and which port(s) is/are in use. My only gripe is that the screen is pretty small, making reading the output a bit challenging, especially for those of us with older eyes. I wasn't sure if it was included when I ordered, but a hard case does come with this power bank. It adds quite a bit of bulk to the unit, but better safe than sorry when dealing with lithium power banks. For the power, speed and versatility I don't think you can go wrong with this power bank. It's heavy, and won't just slip into your jeans pocket, but for those who need a good deal of power while away from a/c, this is a good choice. Read more

So nice to have a decent battery pack

Jimmie Mackβ€”January 3, 2025

I have been using this battery pack to charge my newer USB C type connections, as well as my magnetic type iPhone charge, other battery packs and big rechargeable flashlights (Fenix). So far, this has well met my expectations for being where I needed power for multiple devices. I charge up when there is electricity available, then use as needed where I do not have an electrical current. My solar battery chargers just wasn't enough. Having the black/white read out lets me know the output, charging and how much battery life is left. I am very pleased with this as I also work in data closets where there may not be any available outlets for my devices. I have another similar battery bank like this but it is more bulky. This has been a very good solution. In the event the battery life is not acceptable, I will update this review. 10/10 Read more

The behemoth of portable batteries

Tanner Mierlβ€”December 23, 2024

Make no mistake, this is not a small portable battery that can fit in the palm of your hand. But, it is quite compact for what it can do. I have an Asus Zenbook Pro Duo that unfortunately just doesn't have great battery life. But, with this, I can now give it a 0-100% charge on the go, and still have enough juice leftover to charge many of my other devices (or give my laptop another ~30-40% charge). This has a lot of juice in it, and it has plenty of connections available to it, including wireless charging for compatible devices. I am very pleased with this battery, especially just based on the fact it lets me use my laptop for longer. Read more

Chunky | Programmable DC Port | No Auto Power on Feature

The Hoggatt Projectβ€”January 2, 2025

The one thing I absolutely love about this power bank is the ability to program the voltage that comes out of the DC port. That is a game changer in my opinion. On top of that, you can save up to 4 presets, so you don't have to enter them in each time. Brilliant! The other thing I've come to like is the wireless charger on the top for my ear pods. I didn't even know my Jabra Elites could wirelessly charge but turns out they can! I've also tried using my phone, though it's much more difficult and finicky to find the charging spot. I have better luck turning it horizontally which halfway blocks the other charging pads. It also charges slower than plugging it in, so I don't know how much I'll use that feature. The thing that bothers me most though... is that you need to physically push and hold the power button to turn this on first. I am so use to power banks that recognize a device is attached and start charging automatically. Even v-mount batteries will do this. I could not find a setting that allows you to do this on this device though. This became even more troublesome when I was charging something while using it (some lights in this example), and it powered off when the wattage draw got low. Another gotcha is that only 1 of the USB-C ports charge the device while the other supplies power. It would be nice if they highlighted the input with an orange ring around it. The brick layout of this power bank is larger than any other ones I have tried as well. It can be awkward to find a place for it at times, however, some people might like it being flatter than square for its capacity. The case it comes in is nice but double the size it needs to be. I didn't like that at first but now see it as an opportunity to stuff other things inside the case. All in all, I think this is a little pricey for the amount of watt hours you get. You do get some features you don't see on other power banks (programmable DC port and wireless charging), though I think I still prefer the v-mount batteries over this one. They don't offer a programmable DC port but give you an 8v and 12v option. And mostly that has me covered. I can still recommend this though if you're fine with the caveats mentioned above. I know I will continue to use it. Read more
