This book is hilarious. I really like how the poems/lyrics are all written to tunes we already know. I had to look up a few songs but even when I made up my own melody, it was fun! I've gotten to checking out the books in this series from the local library first and seeing if they stick before buying them. This one's fairly new, however, and they don't have it yet, but timing was an issue. We're in the midst of potty-training and I got it so we would have some entertainment while waiting for *something* to happen (if you know what I mean, and if you're a parent in a similar situation, I think you do). Didn't take long before the songs became part of our regular repertoire. My poor wife now has to sit through two males belting out songs about pooping on the neighbor's stoop, etc. Good thing she has a sense of humor. One thing the songs do is turn light-hearted something that is stressful for children of that age, but I imagine it depends much on their sense of humor. If your child likes the other Katz/Catrow books, odds are they'll like this one too. Read more

We originally purchased these books when our kids were small. We would read/sing before bed every night. We all spent hours laughing together about the lyrics and the fact that my husband and I messed up all the time trying to read the words and keep the melody at the same time. We purchase them for every baby shower, and I send one when my office “adopts” a family at Christmas time. Even the people in my office love them. It’s great family time! Read more

Ordered for great granddaughter. It is a little early to start potty training, but I saw the book at a great price and ordered it. It arrived on time and packaged very well. The book is in excellent condition. No markings, no tears. The dust jacket is in excellent condition also. I would reccommend this seller based on my experience with this book. Now, about the book. My granddaughter sang the songs to us and we could all see how they would entertain a little one. May revisit this in a few months after the potty training starts. Read more
