Not a fan of silver silverware, so our choices are pretty limited in flatware. Usually some beautiful, high priced etched patterned set, way too fancy for our requirements (my kids are rough on stuff...) or some fakey-looking gaudy gold color that flakes off over time. These are a really nice compromise. A pretty, muted champagne gold in a simple, understated pattern. Happy to report that they have held up to constant daily usage and trips through the dishwasher. We bought a set initially to try out, quickly bought another as we liked them so much. My only complaint....would be that Oneida should offer just the small spoons as a purchase option. We had to buy sets 3 and 4 as finding we are always short of the teaspoons. This might have something to do with the kids using them in "art" projects or randomly turning up in their bathroom, used for who knows what. Other than the teaspoons always being in high demand....this is nice set of reasonably priced flatware that will withstand real-life usage. Definitely recommended! Read more
