We have a 55 lbs GSD/Husky mix and needed a bed that was easily to bring with us when we travel for sports and this bed is PERFECT. She laid down on it immediately and seems very comfy on it. It’s nice and soft on the top side and underneath is a grippy material so it doesn’t slide around. It has just enough “fluff” to it. It’s not crazy flat like a towel but it’s not super thick. Purchased this mat for summer camping adventures with my dog. I’m surprised this blanket doesn’t have more love, it’s in my top 10 of dog car gear. I love this mat and so does my large GSD…it’s kind of luxurious for what it is with is soft and comfy velour top and the padded thickness for nice insulation! We got our first one in green, almost two years ago and it’s been a go-to because we both enjoy using it: the bottom is nicely weather resistant, the top velour brushes off fairly easily, it washes well and it’s durable. The thickness is nice to insulate from cold or damp ground. But most of all, I love how easy it is to pack up with the compression/carry straps. Other blankets you have to fold just right, or cram it back into a stuff sack, but this one you can fold or roll however you want, clip the buckles and then tighten the straps…it’s just easier not only to pack up, but to clip onto another pack. It just makes life comfortable and easy…what more could you ask for? I have one for each vehicle and we end up using them multiple times weekly, even in the winter. Highly recommend. Read more

I was looking for a travel mat for my bony greyhound (he needs something that's not paper thin) and couldn't find anything.
