Using a glass jar for storing weed is often considered better than a plastic jar for several reasons: Airtight Seal: Glass jars typically provide a more airtight seal compared to plastic jars. This helps in preserving the freshness and potency of the stored weed by minimizing exposure to oxygen, which can degrade the cannabinoids and terpenes in the plant material. Odor Control: Glass is less porous than plastic, which means it is less likely to absorb and retain odors. Storing weed in a glass jar helps to prevent the smell of the cannabis from permeating the container and potentially being detectable from the outside. Light Protection: Glass is opaque and provides better protection against light compared to many plastic materials. Exposure to light, especially UV light, can break down the compounds in cannabis and degrade its quality. Dark or amber-colored glass jars are particularly effective in blocking out light. No Chemical Interactions: Some plastics can release chemicals that may interact with the compounds in cannabis, potentially altering its flavor, aroma, and overall quality. Glass, being inert, doesn't react with the contents, ensuring that the weed remains unaltered. Temperature Stability: Glass has better temperature stability compared to many plastics. It doesn't release harmful chemicals when exposed to higher temperatures, which could potentially occur in storage situations. Long-Term Storage: For those who intend to store their weed for an extended period, glass is a more reliable choice as it maintains the quality of the product over time. However............ Using a glass container for storing weed won't directly impact how high you can get from consuming it. The effects of cannabis are primarily determined by the chemical composition of the plant, including the concentration of cannabinoids and terpenes, as well as how you consume it (smoking, vaping, edibles, etc.). The storage container's role is to help preserve the quality and potency of the cannabis, which in turn can influence the overall experience. When you store weed properly in a glass container, you're helping to maintain the cannabinoids and terpenes that contribute to the plant's effects. Factors such as exposure to air, light, and moisture can degrade these compounds over time, potentially reducing the potency of the cannabis. By using a glass container that minimizes these factors, you ensure that your weed retains its maximum potential potency when you decide to consume it. In essence, the use of a glass container doesn't directly make you "get higher" from the same amount of cannabis, but it helps ensure that the cannabis you consume is of higher quality and retains its full potential. The actual effects you experience from consuming cannabis depend on a variety of factors, including the strain, dosage, your individual tolerance, and the method of consumption. Read more
I bought this set to keep my nighttime meds within reach on my bedside table. Their smaller size works great to keep just enough variety on hand to help me sleep. So far they work for my needs. Pros: -Smaller size fits about 3g material -Frosted UV glass exterior (bottom), though could be a little more opaque -Attractive modern design -Includes 18 colored bands, but only 3 colors Cons: -Lightweight - one hard floor drop and it’s over -Cheap plastic lids with cardboard liners -Smell-resistant but jars not 100% sealed due to childproof so these are not smell-proof -Weak childproof (slightest pressure downwards opens it - fwiw, as a senior with no need for childproof this is actually a Pro) -Lid logo is obnoxiously large -Colored bands are fiddly to put on and should have been available in 6 different colors - even cooler would be colored lids -Label stickers and (actual!) chalk are a swing and a miss, seller should just eliminate this add-on or provide matte finish labels with a white liquid chalk pen -Lids cannot be easily cleaned because they have a thin coated paper liner. Should have been removable and of silicone or rubber -A little pricey for what you get Read more

These jars are great, I can't recommend them highly enough. I'm actually on my way to get a few more now, but thought I'd stop in to give some credit where it's due. The lids are child resistant, but easy for adults to use. Jars themselves are very durable -- I've dropped them from about chest height onto the hard wood without a scratch. The frosted and tinted glass does an excellent job of protecting my product from the sun and keeping it fresh. Each jar in the set comes with three color coded bands (red, green, purple) for easy labeling and identification. Additionally, there are a set of black sticker labels that can be attached to each jar, with an accompanying white marker that can be used to write a more specific label. Personally, I found that I haven't used this feature as much, but it's nice to have it. The marker is (I think) dry erase, so it's really easy to wipe it off the label when you're handling the jars, especially with the child proof lids. Ultimately, I found the colored band system to be simpler and easier to use, but that's just my preference. In all, this is a GREAT value for the money -- most shops will charge at least $20 for ONE similar container. $20 for THREE? It's a no-brainer. Read more

I opened the jars when I got them and immediately was not very impressed. The tops were flimsy compared to the jars, and when I went to seal them they were like a gas cap that you can just keep turning. I let them sit for a couple days and when I and tried to open them I couldn't, they're like a jar of pickles that my uncle John tightened close in the 80's 😡 They really need to do better on the lids... They are the right size, night too big and durable for what I need them for. They also have color bands and labels so I can delineate what's in each jar. Read more
