I purchased this two months ago and was a little skeptical that it would be accurate, but could not have been more wrong. This thermometer works just as good as my expensive thermometers I own for smoking and grilling. The temperatures are accurate, it’s very easy to use and has a nice carrying case. I’ve since bought a few for holiday gifts! I’m can not recommend this product anymore. The screen is bright and easy to read. This Infrared Thermometer takes all the guesswork out of what the temperature is on any surface. I use it mainly for cooking. I have a large set of cast iron cookware that I use everyday. The iron needs to be up to temp for proper cooking and this temp gun does just that. Just point it to the surface of the pan and you know exactly what temp it is. This is especially handy on a large cast iron grill pan I use for pancakes. I covers 2 burners and it was tough to get both different sized burners adjusted correctly to get the grill pan surface at equal temp at each end. This temp gun took all the guess work out of that! The accuracy on this thermometer seems pretty accurate from what I can tell, at least from my use so far. I like the storage pouch, though I'm sure I will get used to just throwing it in a drawer. Feels premium, I like the click of the trigger(?). I like the backlit screen, the option to turn that off and I like the laser and the option to disable that, as well. Read more

Well calibrated thermometer. I did a preliminary test on ice water in a cup (0°C) and on boiling water (100°C) to see how well it was calibrated. I primarily use it for checking temps on food and recognizing hotspots on the grill when I am barbecuing. The red laser helps pinpoint the exact position I am pointing to instead of a generalized area. Also, found the feature of pausing the temperate on screen when you release the trigger particularly helpful as well. Read more
As an HVAC tech and an avid BBQ’er, I use this thing for everything. It’s easy to use. Just pull the trigger and the temp is displayed immediately. It’s small and compact and come with a nice little carrying case. It also seems very accurate. All temps have been within 1 degree of what they should be. Read more
