This is a FABULOUS deep red shimmer. Definitely a crimson, not at all orangey, on the blue side of the red spectrum, but not purple - deep ruby or garnet. Exactly matches my Holiday dress that was called "crimson", which is a deep "Santa Suit Red" with lovely shine. It only took 1 coat to get complete coverage - but two is better.
