I’m actually somewhat enjoying this desk riser for what it is. It’s relatively straightforward. It’s obviously budget, but it works. It’s a laminate board with hollow plastic legs (but metal female threads for the screws) and small metal push pins for height adjustment. It’s not a luxury item, and it’s not built for monitors or stands with oversized bases that exceed roughly 14.5 inches by 9 inches, but it does offer a good amount of vertical lift in return. You can get up to about 6 inches of clearance underneath, which is better than the other two risers I currently have. I’m not a huge fan of the plastic legs. I feel like this could be a genuinely solid product if they swapped those for full metal and reinforced the laminate board a bit. The included screwdriver isn’t very good for tightening the screws once you get resistance. You’ll probably want to use your own because the one provided doesn’t offer much torque. The push-pin system and plastic legs are a little questionable, but they do function. I pressed down on it fairly heavily and leaned on it the top of the stand to see if it would flex or buckle, and it held up better than expected. That said, it’s basic laminate. If you overtighten the screws, you can see slight bowing and even hear faint cracking. It’s not built to take abuse, and I imagine the weight capacity is somewhat limited. There are no drawers or extra features. Overall, though, for the price, it’s fairly good. Pros: ✅ Affordable price ✅ Up to 6 inches of clearance ✅ Simple, clean black laminate look ✅ Push-pin height adjustment works ✅ Held up under light stress testing Cons: ❌ Hollow plastic legs ❌ Laminate can bow or crack if overtightened ❌ Included screwdriver is low quality ❌ Limited monitor base size support ❌ No extra features or storage Read more

Great stand for my laptop. I like that it is adjustable Read more
I honestly didn’t expect a desk riser to make this much of a difference, but this item has been a great addition to my setup. My first impressions were that it looks really nice. The black wood finish gives my desk a clean, modern vibe without looking flashy. It blends in perfectly with the rest of my office and makes everything feel more put together. It’s definitely a simple upgrade from just having my monitor sitting directly on the desk. The height is just right. Raising my monitor to eye level has helped a lot with neck strain, especially on longer workdays. I didn’t realize how much I was looking down before. It feels much more comfortable now, and the stand is sturdy enough that there’s no wobble or shifting. I also love the extra storage space underneath. I can slide my keyboard under it when I’m not using it, and there’s room for small office supplies too. It really helps cut down on clutter and gives me more usable desk space. Assembly was very quick and easy with nothing complicated, and everything lined up the way it should. This item is a simple upgrade that makes a noticeable difference. It looks good, feels solid, and helps keep my workspace organized. It’s definitely worth it if you’re trying to improve your desk setup without spending a ton. Read more
It’s a decent enough platform for the price. Not great, but gets the job done. My biggest complaint is that it’s advertised as “solid wood,” but is absolutely not solid wood. The platform itself is light particle board with wood print/textured laminate. The legs are lightweight plastic and the screw holes they attach to are not countersunk, so they don’t screw in totally flush. So, it’s cheap, but functional and looks fine unless you’re really examining it for quality. I use it to elevate my little laptop more evenly with my larger second monitor. Read more

I've been using this adjustable desk riser as a dedicated stand for my portable monitor, and it's worked out really well for elevating my secondary screen to eye level in my dual-monitor setup. Pros: -Solid stability: Holds my portable monitor (around17" size) rock-steady with no wobble or tipping, even when typing or adjusting angles—good load capacity for lightweight portables. -Adjustable height: Multiple levels or smooth lift lets me dial in the perfect ergonomic position—raises the screen to match or sit above my main display, reducing neck strain during long sessions. -Extra desk space bonus: Underneath clearance creates handy storage for keyboard, mouse, cables, or small items—keeps the desk cleaner without sacrificing footprint. -Sturdy build: Metal construction (or reinforced plastic/metal combo) feels durable and premium for the price; non-slip pads protect the desk surface. -Compact and portable-friendly: Easy to set up/move with my portable monitor setup—no permanent mounting needed. Cons: -None so far! Overall, repurposing this desk riser as a portable monitor stand has been a smart, affordable upgrade—better ergonomics, cleaner workspace, and reliable performance without buying a dedicated arm. Great value if you're running a portable second screen and want simple elevation/storage. Highly recommend for hybrid/home office use! Read more
