Really works
At first I thought how can eye drops work with eyes closed. But it really does. Seems to work best and I’ve tried them all. It’s challenging to get it working properly but once you do I really like product. Will keep buying. Read more

Customers report that the eye spray works well for dry eyes and is easier to apply than drops, though some find it difficult to use.

I'm sorry to have to write a bad review. My optometrist recommended Optase many months ago. I bought one bottle from her and immediately ordered another bottle from Amazon after first using her bottle. My eyes felt wonderful. I used up both bottles and ordered another which was also good (albeit the bottle was flimsier than the other and difficult to squeeze). I received this current bottle August 27 and finished my other bottle last night. My eyes stung after using my new bottle which they hadn't using the other bottles. This morning my eyes are red. RED! They haven't lessened during the day. I never have red eyes no matter how dry or irritated they become. I wish I could return the bottle, but Amazon won't accept the return. Moreover, no other Optase other than this one is listed at Amazon. I'm very disappointed because the product had been stellar up until this current bottle. What's not to love about gentle, preservative-free eye drops? I don't know what I'll do now. Edit: I wanted to provide this edit for clarity. I did read the instructions carefully. I did use Optase with my lids shut and sprayed on the lid area only. I did not spray into my eyes; yet, unfortunately, my eyes became greatly irritated. I'm hoping Optase will return to their former product. Read more

Optase spray is so comfortable and easy to use. Just apply to clean, closed eyes and relax for the prescribed amount of time. Be sure to read the instructions. You do not apply spray in your eyes as you would drops. Easy and effective. Read more
I am extremely disappointed in Optase Dry Spray. The premise is that you spray this on your eyelids from 6-10 inches away. Then, you blink so it goes in your eyes. There are 2 major issues with that: 1) You are spraying with your eyes closed. The spray goes out with a wide mist. You end up spraying your forehead and cheeks more than anything else. About 20 wasteful sprays in, you finally hit your eyelids. And, it does drip down but not in your eyes!! It just drips down your face. 2) If you are lucky enough to get a drop or two of the solution in your eyes, it burns. It isn’t soothing and it does not help your dry eyes. I find that my eyes feel dryer using this spray. Then after using, I have crust that has formed on my eyes. I didn’t have crust to begin with. What is really upsetting is how expensive this is. I contacted Optase directly before purchasing this. I asked them specifically if the dry spray had the same ingredients as the Optase intense dry eye drops. I didn’t want to waste my money on this if it didn’t. They said and I quote, “The spray can be used in lieu of the drops” and implied that they had the same ingredients. See below and judge for yourselves if these ingredients are the same: Dry spray ingredients: Glycerin 1%, Citric Acid Monohydrate, Polyoxyethylenesorbitan Monooleate. Potassium Chloride, Purified Water, Sea Buckthorn Seed Oil, Sodium Chloride, Sodium Hyaluronate, Sorbitan Monooleate, Tromethamine Intense drop ingredients: Glycerin 0.2%, Hydrochloric acid, sodium hyaluronate, sorbitol, trometamol, water It looks to me like there are 10 ingredients in the dry spray and 6 ingredients in the intense dry eye drops. The glycerin content isn’t even the same! And, now I have wasted my money on this and do not have the money I need to buy the drops. Read more
