Goliath Product Reviews—November 24, 2025
A lot of these blue light blocking glasses are just made of the super cheapo plastic. These frames are matte, and a heavier plastic, so they don't feel cheap at all. Don't get me wrong -- not heavy enough that they're disturbing to wear on your face... just heavy enough that they don't feel or look cheap, while they're also comfortable. Being in this review program, I've got a whole bin of them, and these are definitely on the nicer end of frames. If I'm really nitpicking, the hinges are NOT spring-loaded, so if you have a really wide head, they not be the most comfortable. If you're new to blue-light-blocking (BLB) glasses, well, you should read up on it. As someone who is in front of a screen 12+ hours a day, BLBs are like magic for my face muscles, especially around the eyes and sinuses. Usually I can feel it within about 20 min or so of wearing BLBs because I can feel my face relaxing. And these particular BLBs are no exception. The lenses are a little more orange than most of my others, but not as deep orange as the most aggressive ones. I question the 99% of 450nm claim, as many blues on the screen are clearly visible as blue. Even their little gradient image in the listing doesn't look correct (it should be a different looking color on that spectrum if it's 99% at 450nm, but it's not). All of the others that I have with are 60%+ look almost like a dark orange, and these just aren't close. So I'm not sure how they are claiming 99%. But I will say that one of the many BLBs I got came with a blue LED and test card that can grade 15% and 30%, and these pass at least 30%. At least for myself, 30% tends to be good enough, without so much color distortion like the dark orange 60%+ ones. As my test card only goes up to 30%, I can't conclusively say the 99% claim is false, just that I question it. I'm also not looking to advertise for any brands, so I also like that there's no goofy "who's that?" brand on the outside of the arms, nothing on the lenses. So overall, if you specifically need 99%+, these are not for you. But if you're looking for some BLBs with stylish frames that don't feel cheap, these are a winner. Read more

These blue light blocking glasses have yellowish lenses and are surprisingly comfy on my low-bridge nose. The frame sits well and everything arrived nicely packaged. It took a bit to adjust to the lenses (felt slightly dizzy at first), but they do seem to tone down harsh lights. I’m not sure how much blue light is actually blocked, but they make screens look less glaring. I wear them occasionally with contact lenses, and the build quality is decent. Worth trying if you’re curious, but whether they’re worth the price is up to you! Read more

Title: Comfortable & Soothing for Eye Strain, But Effectiveness is Questionable I tried the 99% Blue Light Blocking Glasses primarily for extended computer use, hoping to mitigate eye strain and improve sleep quality. I can confidently say that they excel in one key area: comfort and eye relief. The Positives: Comfort and Soothing Effect The fit is excellent—the glasses are genuinely comfortable, even during long sessions. More importantly, they provide an immediate, soothing effect on the eyes. The yellow tint is noticeable on the computer screen, but it quickly became something I didn't mind, as it softened the harsh brightness of the display, making the overall viewing experience much more pleasant and relaxing. They definitely reduce fatigue and strain, which is a major win. The Major Concern: Blue Light Blocking The main reason for the lower rating is the serious doubt regarding the 99% blue light blocking claim. I tested these glasses using one of the common online blue light blocking tests. According to the test instructions, with true 99% blocking lenses, I should have seen only black or a dark color in the test area. Unfortunately, I could clearly still see blue light during the test, raising significant concerns about the actual filtration rate. While the general tint helps, it seems unlikely the lenses are meeting the advertised "99% blocking" standard. Summary If you are looking for glasses that are incredibly comfortable and provide a noticeable soothing effect and reduction in general eye strain from screen brightness, these are great. However, if you are specifically relying on them for near-total (99%) blue light elimination, my testing suggests they may not perform as advertised. They work well as comfort lenses, but the core promise of heavy-duty blue light blocking seems unfulfilled. Read more

These are the first blue light blocking glasses I've ever tried. They definitely turn everything an amber color. They're reasonably durable, seem easy to clean and are sturdy without being heavy which is a must for for. They also fit well and don't pinch, or give me a headache from Temple pressure like many glasses do so thats a huge win! Over all pretty impressed with them!! Read more

Pros: I like them. They look good and fit well. They are lightweight and I easily forgot they were on, sitting through dinner with them on the whole time after work. They definitely give an amber hue to a computer screen and take the edge off the brightness without making it dim or illegible. Overall I like them. Cons: They will make your eyes look weird to other people when they're on so you definitely don't want to go wearing them around. The quality isn't great either. For the price and for a non-prescription pair of glasses, I would expect them to feel a bit denser and have smooth hinges. They feel a little flimsy like gas station sunglasses rather than a quality pair. Read more
