This is an excellent coffee/tea warmer, which I keep at my desk. It maintains a good temperature, and has auto-cutoff features that keep it safe. It senses the cup, and goes into an auto-standby mode when the cup is lifted. It plugs into a standard outlet. I initially used it with a random mug, since all my mugs had recessed bottoms, not ideal for thermal contact with the warmer. It worked, but I thought the coffee could have been hotter. So I bought a "HOWAY Flat Bottom Mug with Wood Lid" from Amazon to go with it. That has a metal insert on the bottom to improve heat transfer, and with it, the coffee stays even hotter, which I like. Any other flat-bottomed mug would probably work well, but most mugs you find have recessed bottoms. Read more
My old Oracer finally died and since it worked for years looked for the same to replace. This heats great on both low and high settings and both settings make the tea hot not warm, which I love. I also like the new feature that it times out if you remove your mug for more than 5 minutes. Generally, I turn off mine, but just in case it is forgotten that is a great safety feature. It fits in so many places and doesn't take up a lot of room on my desk while giving me a great warm drink in the winter. Read more
I bought this as a gift for my husband, and he is very pleased with it. It has two heat settings and does a fantastic job keeping his coffee piping hot. The indicator light blinks when you pick up the cup and goes solid when you set it back down, or goes off after a couple minutes of the warmer being unused. It will also shut off automatically after eight hours. The time out is seldom used, but it's a nice safety feature. The bottom of the warmer does give off heat, but it is on a faux wood table, and there has been no damage. If anyone is concerned about damage, you could put something underneath it. After a few weeks my husband told me the light stayed on when the cup wasn't on the warmer and didn't time out after a few minutes of no use. I reached out to the company, and they quickly responded and asked us to unplug the warmer and plug it back in to do a reset. If that didn't work, they offered to send us a replacement. So far so good! I did read the reviews offered by other customers about the unit malfunctioning or burning the surface it is sitting on, but so far it has performed well. I love the way I can place my hot beverage cup on the surface, turn it on and it keeps it hot while I work. If I lift the cup, the unit goes into standby mode until I put it back. If I don't replace the cup it shuts off. Only time will tell if the unit develops any problems! Read more

We searched and searched for mug warmers that included all the features we were looking for: Automatic shut-off, big enough for most cups but with a small footprint (takes up as little space as possible on desk or side table), clean looking, with not a lot of logos or other writing (looking at you, Mr Coffee), is affordable, etc. This mug warmer fits the bill! We didn't expect to find all that with two different settings, but this product has that feature in addition to every thing else. My husband keeps his coffee warm on the highest setting, I use the medium setting for my tea. Works for us both! Super easy to use, just touch and go. We bought one to test and liked it so much we immediately ordered another. Possibly the best feature is the manufacturer's product support. Our second unit had an issue that we didn't notice until the return/exchange window through Amazon had closed. The user manual listed an email address for warranty contact. As promised, someone responded within 24 hrs. Within a few days we had a replacement unit. In today's world it can be challenging to find a manufacturer who quickly and painlessly honors their warranty. Kudos to Oracer for being such a company! Read more
I just purchased the Mug Warmer Model ET-01. The very first time I used it, the warmer worked and kept my coffee warm. I turned the unit off per the instructions - and the light was off. I went out for a while (3-4 hours). I came home and went to move the unit, and almost burned myself as the unit was still on, and hot, even though the power light was off. I then unplugged it, and the next morning (now), when I plugged it in, it does not work - nothing lights up, it is essentially 'dead'. Not only is this defective, but extremely dangerous, I have pets, and if this mug warmer was knocked over and still very hot, who knows what would have happened? I have written to the manufacturer and will provide an update. ****Update****. I emailed the manufacturer, and they immediately contacted me and sent a new unit which seems to work exactly how it is supposed to. Very satisfied. Read more
I guess it slows the cooling of a cup of coffee, but it struggles to keep coffee hot. I understand there is a danger to letting it get hotter, but it's only enough to keep the liquid hot when your cup is below half-full. Read more
