I just switched back to Oral B because it hugs the teeth better than traditional brush heads. There are so many styles now that I did not notice until I started using it -- there aren't any symbols on the toothbrush to tell you which mode it is on. I had to look up a video online but it just highlighted the almost identical sounds. I will contact Oral B directly. The quality is great and it is not super noisy. The brush head reaches further, which helps for molars. The light changing color to let you know if you are brushing too hard, is a definite plus and will also do well for kids. Read more

After much researching, this is the io version for me. It works well, cleans my teeth well, and easy to use. It tells me when my pressure is right, hard or too light. I wish I'd have upgraded to this IO toothbrush sooner. I've used Oral-B electric toothbrushes for 30 years. The battery on my old one finally gave out. The IO-5 is amazing. It even prompted my dental hygienist to comment and ask me what I've been doing differently. Every day it feels like I've just had my teeth cleaned at the dentist. The media could not be loaded. Just got it today, used it this morning. Feels a little odd, I've never used an electric tooth brush so maneuvering it felt very weird. Nonetheless, I can feel brush and oscillations on each tooth. The timer setting really comes in handy. Throws you off a bit but I'm sure with time it will become second nature. The 2min timer as well.. it felt like it would never end. I tried to brush the way I'd do it with a regular brush and "felt" like it was enough but the brush wouldn't stop. Anyway, great product for the price. It does come with its little travel case. The black color really pops too very slick and techy. The two brushes are also handy in case you didn't get any extra. Used the regular brush, and honestly they didn't really bother my gums. Charger stand came in white. Thought it maybe match the black but it does not. Still, nice little setup. When you open the case the items are a little covered with the pulp tray residue, wipes right off though. Make sure you read the manual for the tips and cleaning. Read more
