This thing is great. I have some deeper, bends I guess, from receding or erosion on my back teeth. I want to be able to brush really well there and also remove the stain from coffee. We all know that staining is part of the first step to getting cavities and plaque buildup. I do not want any of that! It's hard to get a toothbrush in there. A normal everyday electric toothbrush head. I decided to try this and it's working really good. I'm super psyched about it. I was worried that it might be too much brushing but I asked the Google AI and it said that as long as I didn't brush harder than the green light on my toothbrush head it was okay. I had NO idea this existed. NONE. I am an older adult, got done with my Invisalign (YAY!!) and had a permanent retainer placed behind the lower front teeth. Anyone who has had one of those knows how difficult it is for that area to feel clean. Flossing and water pik are ok, but I wanted something more. I don't use this every day, but when I do, its like I just got back from the dentist. Its for traditional braces and I could definitely see how well this would work for that, but it is also absolutely perfect for getting around those permanent retainers. I really love my electric toothbrush but I recently got braces and - wellll the second time I brushed with this particular brush head- it attached and was caught to the bracket in the back of my mouth !- it kept going around and around ... I still am not sure what happened.. not sure if the nylon bristle got caught and is hanging from the bracket or if it’s a piece of the archwire.. It was very frightening. Thought I was using it correctly. Maybe I wasn’t .. I have been using my ‘manual’ toothbrush ever since. I may resume using this after I go to the dentist and talk more about what kind of damage was done. So glad my whole bracket didn’t come off and that the brush eventually came off! Read more
I purchased the Oral-B-iO Specialised toothbrush head to clean around the brackets and wires of my braces. It does a very good job of cleaning on and around the brackets and wires. Does not replace flossing however. I would ehtusiastically recomend these toothbrush heads to anyone who has braces. Read more
Why did you pick this product vs others?: This brush head gets into places, no other has been able to do. I use a regular brush first and then use this to get in between and behind my teeth. It is especially helpful on the back molars that I previously could not get clean with a regular brush head. My teeth feels so much cleaner after using it.
