I may update this but it's between a 3-4 right now. I got these for my dog because her vet wants to clean her teeth. Well, I have a problem with that. Not saying that's not a good thing to do. But, she's an older dog and the older they get the higher the risk of them not waking up is. So I am trying to do things to help her teeth. To me her teeth look fine. The one vet she had in another state said her teeth looked better than his dogs. And for 9 years of her life, that's who I took her too. We moved a few years ago. So idk but I refuse to do that to my dog and it kills her. I had a dog for 18 almost 19 years and never had her teeth cleaned. My parents dog. I take very good care of my dog. So no hate please. She's a little spoiled diva. lol I never have issues with her breath. No signs of gum issues. She's in perfect health. So I got this in hopes this will work so this vet I take her to now, will stop pushing to get her teeth cleaned. I'm surprised he didn't recommend these from all the great reviews I've heard tbh. Anyways, so I went researching and I heard how great these were. Thought I'd give them a try. Well, they're a little too harsh for my dog's stomach. I'm gonna break one in half to see if that makes it better. She enjoyed it but she never has had diarrhea before and she did with this. So, if half works I'll update and then again in a month if any improvements with her teeth. You do really have to watch them eating these though. It says it on the box to. So please watch your dog eating them and afterwards. Read more

Our small pup struggles with bad breath and dental health. While these treats are for slightly smaller dogs than ours, these are more digestible with her dental health (missing teeth) and still give us some relief of bad breath! Read more

I've been giving my Japanese Chin these chews since he was a pup. He loves them and knows when it's time for his "bone." We hold the chew while he bites off pieces and eats it to avoid a mess on the couch. We've also always been concerned that he might swallow too big of a piece and get choked. I brush his teeth two or three times a week with Arm & Hammer dog toothpaste. The vet says there is no tartar of any kind on his teeth and he's six years old. We do not want to ever have his teeth cleaned, because our previous Japanese Chin was intubated for his teeth cleaning and his trachea was damaged irreversibly. He died as a direct result of the intubation as his trachea worsened over the next 18 months. The pricing has, in my opinion, gone out of control, though. When we first started using these chews, we could afford to buy the ones for dogs 10-24 pounds (my dog weighs 18 pounds). Then, as the pricing increased, we decided to cut the chews length-wise to make the chew last two days. In November 2022, these chews were priced at about $28 per 30-day supply. Now, they are priced at about $31. So. now we are buying the chews for dogs 3.5-9 pounds and will be cutting them length-wise to make them last two days. Read more
