Says organic, but this is 39% organic, 100% 'natural' I was interested to try this, I like that its natural and a mix of skincare and foundation. I got the lightest shade 'daring'. I'm usually light-medium neutral skin tone, leaning warm. When I opened the box, i noticed there is a ball inside the bottle and it does need to be shaken to mix it all together. When I went to put some on the back of my hand, without squeezing, it came out really fast. The shade seemed darker than expected. I had to do my makeup later that evening so this was getting the full application. After prepping my skin, I was prepared for the liquidy quality but...seriously, it's way too thin and comes out too fast. I had to wipe off the top of it before putting the top back on, so that's a waste of product. With my summer tan (though I wear sunscreen daily), the shade worked well for me. In the winter it'll be too dark. It applies really nicely, it's more like a BB cream type product to me, light coverage. Buildable but that would have felt too heavy personally with all the oils in this. It doesn't really dry down much and I don't do setting powder so that isn't great. I'd call this a dewy finish, not matte. I don't wear a ton of makeup, especially during the summer, usually just some cream or liquid blush and mascara with a light foundation. When I applied rare beauty liquid blush with a brush on top of this, it definitely moved the pigment around so it doesn't really stay where you put it. I don't agree with the "transfer proof" statement at all. I like the light finish of this but it doesn't have lasting power for me and I don't like how liquidy it is. I can see throwing this on before a day on the water just to even out my skin tone, but it's not for a night out in my opinion. Is this for a 40-something? I don't know. Are you in your 20's , wrinkle free and into the barely there makeup of glossier but want to go more natural ingredients, grab this. I wouldn't get it again but I'll use it occasionally. It's so pretty, but finding your shade is a bit dry on me and challenging. I found it close enough, just light; however, I somehow viewed it enlarged by screenshot. It should be straightforward from there. I'm adding a moisture serum to this serum makeup. Yes, I mean both references to serum. This foundation is fine; makeup like this tends to go on too thick and pasty for my tastes at my age. I can always use a tiny bit of corrector/concealer on imperfections without it looking overdone. In other words, I am not adding anything significant to the foundation mix, but I'm contouring a bit, which consists of a bit of bronzer, a dot of blush, and a swipe or two of highlighter in strategic places. Eye makeup and lipstick if I want to dress it up more. This is lovely makeup, and I have a light shade of a newer/different foundation. I just got a darker shade to mix with it. The INIKA Organic Serum Foundation is so easy to wear. Honestly, it doesn't feel like I am wearing anything if I have it on my face. It is absolutely the whisper-thinnest foundation I've ever worn in my life. This foundation has the consistency of water. Really. Sometimes I will say that, but this drips from the bottle, and it has the liquid consistency of water. When it lands in my cupped palm, it will run as if I am holding a palmful of water. I only use a few drops of the foundation, because anymore than that will just add mess. I rub my hands together, spread the foundation on my hands, then gently press the foundation into my skin and then buff it in. It only takes a few drops to cover my entire face. That will give anyone pretty decent coverage, too. It is buildable, so if you need more, you can add a few more drops. But this color is highly concentrated. A little bit goes a LOONNNGGG way. As for the shade, the lightest shade is my color when it is winter. For summer, I might have chosen one color up, but when I add liquid bronzer, it's fine. The bronzer adds necessary warmth. Very thin liquid, which does make it a nice light coverage. If it weren’t for the smell you probably wouldn’t know you had anything on. I’ve had a difficult time with applying the foundation and not having my skin looked dried out or ashy. Maybe I didn’t get the right color match, but I don’t see using this foundation. Read more
