Every home needs a bag of these jewel yams (they're not actually sweet potatoes)!!!

These are EXCELLENT, they're all about the same size, and they last forever. They're actually yams and there is such a thing as sweet potatoes, but they're much starchier and potato-like. These are called "jewel" yams because they're so sweet. These are yummy any way you serve them!!! For year-round use, I add one or two to my pot of potatoes that I'm boiling, just enough so that they don't overwhelm the great golden potato flavor of my potatoes, but they add a nice color and importantly, great vitamins as these are packed with vitamins, especially the beta carotene (if I remember correctly). The uniform size is a Godsend, it allows you to use what you need and still have plenty left for later. I highly recommend!!! Read more
