I let this air out for a week. I have been sleeping on it for 3 weeks now and there is at times still a little scent of latex that comes out when rolling over, but this is rare. This firmness is what works very well for me, now I get a very sound nights sleep. It was not difficult at all to open up by myself. I also have a 3 inch wool topper on top of this so the combination works very well for me. Read more

These things are pricy but the best. I got the 6" and it is not too soft as some have said. I'm using it as the only mattress on wooden slats and it is plenty thick unless you are VERY heavy. Also mine did not have a strong odor either. Read more
